An International football tournament, FIFA World Cup 2014 is the 20th FIFA World cup that will be set in Brazil between June and July 2014. This is the second time the country has hosted the competition. Since 1996, FIFA world cup has its own Mascot. World Cup Willie, the mascot for the 1966 competition, was the first World Cup mascot, and one of the first mascots to be connected with a major sporting competition. With this competition, Brazil will become the fifth country to host the FIFA World Cup two times after Mexico, Italy, France and Germany. The Mascots design shows some representing characteristic feature such as costume, flora, fauna, etc. of the host country. The World Cup mascot is frequently targeted at children with cartoon shows and other merchandise released to match with the competition. On 30th October, 2007, Brazil won the right to host the event as the only country to enter a bid. The main twelve host cities including Belo Horizonte, Brasília, Cuiabá, Curitiba, Fortaleza, Natal, Recife, Rio de Janeiro, Salvador, São Paulo, Porto Alegre and Manaus for the 2014 World Cup were announced on 31 May 2009. The logo of the 2014 FIFA World Cup is called "Inspiration", and was created by Brazilian agency "Africa". The design follows from an iconic photograph of three victorious hands mutually raising the world's most famous trophy. The logo was revealed at a ceremony held in Johannesburg, South Africa on 8 July 2010.
