3, Agatti Island, Lakshadweep
Lakshadweep, also called as the Laccadive Islands is a group of coral islands of supreme beauty. It is sprinkled on the clear blue waters of the Arabian Sea, 200- 440 kms off the coast of the South West Indian state of Kerala. How to enter Agatti Island: It is necessary to get Entry Permit from the Lakshadweep Administration for entering or visiting the Agatti Island. You must have a confirmed place to stay to enter the Island as Entry Permit is based on it. October to May is the best time to visit Agatti as the atmosphere is cool and pleasant at that period. You can go by flights or ships that run between Agatti Island and Cochin in Kerala. Indian Airlines and Kingfisher Airlines operate flights from Kochi mostly 3-4 days a week.
