Japanese electronics firm, Akai has announced its entry into the Mobile Handset segment in India with the launch of 10 exciting new models in the dual SIM (GSM+GSM) category. Akai mobile phones are available at affordable prices ranging from Rs.1895 to Rs. 7995 that will attract customers in all segments with a special focus on youth. At present, 8000 stores are available in the country and its target is to increase to 20,000 outlets at the end of September 2010.

Through Global Brands Enterprise Solutions Pvt. Ltd, AKAI mobile phones will be sold in India. AKAI handsets contain features like Dual SIM, full 3-D touch interface, Wi-Fi, long battery life, expandable memory, large high resolution QVGA display, an FM radio including recording, compatible with social networking sites, high definition video recording, e-book compatibility and others. With these features, AKAI handsets are easy to use, and look stylish.

Different products, which are ROHS compliance for consumer safety and come equipped with pre-friendly features to complement the overall positioning of the brand of high quality products at smart prices, will be offered by AKAI.
