AVG is growing group of programs such as partition software, Rootkits Scanner and other system tasks, has released a new bootable CD that may be the first to include a USB boot option. Computer virus is executed, examined, and removed by Bootable Antivirus Rescue CD without booting operating system. On the basis of Linux Live CD distribution, most of bootable Rescue CD builds and can load an easy operating system without writing any system files on your hard drive.

AVG software is available in the form of ISO file. To make a bootable CD, this format can be burned means download and install in the CD. This ISO format can be transferred in the USB version from CD. AVG provided ZIP and RAR software to have Windows and Linux compatibility. An option to create a bootable Flash drive is provided by the CD after booting it the problem can be disputable.

For a good scan off this product, there is need of a hard-wired Ethernet. If internet is available then AVG Rescue CD connects to the Internet. The main menu has options to reconfigure the network or remount windows drives to attach a USB device or insert a flash drive. To edit the registry, do a ping, file management (Midnight Commander), and a copy of Test Disk, utilities are available to recover damaged disk volumes. Therefore, with this format, you can scan particular volumes or specific directories and after scanning, you can view reports or manage any infected files. The USB flash drive version worked well, and much faster compare to the CD version.

The new AVG is tested by Brian Krebs, who has a new blog on rescue CDs with links to 7 of them entry. He tested the Bootable CD on a wireless notebook and the software could see the unused wired Ethernet connection only. He said, “none of the rescue CDs work with wireless networks, and it's probably a difficult thing to do well on Linux (all these CDs are based on Linux).” On 29 March 2010, morning, he downloaded virus database on the version so, he said, "you really need a hard-wired Ethernet if you want a good scan off this product." He added, “USB flash keys are cheap and I have already made one of the AVG rescue software that I intend to keep on my key chain.” He said, “You do need a BIOS in the system that can boot off of the flash drive, and so you may need to make at least a temporary change in the system boot order.”
