India’s most reliable motor brand Bajaj Motors (“Hamara Bajaj”) has filled the void in the 220cc section in the country and launched the Avenger for the Indian market. The new Avenger will be sporting a 220cc engine in place of the 200cc that it used to have before and will have more decorated looks. Bajaj Avenger is expected to make stronger the company’s position in bike space.
The new Bajaj Avenger 220cc has been made with auto-cancel indicators and specially battery sensor which help to offer easily handling. It is available in 4 different color including Silver, Red, Black and Blue. The bike is available for advance booking and comes to the Indian roads with the engine similar to Bajaj Pulsar DTS-i. The Avenger sports a 4-stroke 220CC engine borrowed from the Pulsar family which sends a maximum power of 19.3bhp @ 8500rpm and a maximum torque of 19.12Nm @ 7000rpm. The 4-stroke single cylinder DTS-i engine displacing 219.89cc is air cooled with oil cooler. It carry on to run 90/90 17″ tyres at front 130/90 15″ at the rear.
The bike guarantees a more jerk free ride on the Indian roads as the motorbike comes with superb Front Telescopic & Rear Hydraulic Shock Absorber. Also it has a better and larger disc brakes that can be used for safe and risk free riding. It is one of the few bikes in India that provide the front foot easy riding posture made famous by the Harley Davidson brand of motorcycles in the US which provides the rider a low centre of gravity to better balance his bike and have an easy riding on the roads.
