Baybeats is indie music festival held in Singapore every year. This alternative music festival is presented by Esplanade, Theatres on the Bay. Current year, this festival is held during 20th – 22nd August 2010 (Friday – Sunday) at Esplanade, Singapore. In Singapore, it is one of the most looked-forward-to music festivals that hosts the best bands from countries such as Malaysia, Thailand, The Philippines, Indonesia, Australia, USA, and of course, Singaporean bands, drawing large audiences to the Esplanade each year.

Baybeats has looked for to showcase good local, regional and international alternative bands since 2002. Also, it gives an opportunity to the bands to meet and exchange ideas; and bring to audiences a fun, 3-day celebration of great live alternative music in a variety of sounds such as post-rock, punk, emo, electro, indie-pop and hard rock.

An Honest Mistake (MY):

For this Malaysian quintet, playing stadiums and electrifying audiences are all in the days work. It comprises of Darren on vocal duties, resident beat-keeper Kevin, another Kevin on bass, Leonard on guitars and Danny on Violin. It is a highly anticipated band to watch at Baybeats 2010.

Celina Foo:

Celina is armed with 90s-style brand of music and ability to translate the inspiration she receives from listening to an artiste into original songs. Celina hopes the experience of this showcase will bring her closer to her dreams. She has held aspirations of flattering a successful singer-songwriter since weekly singing competitions at her grandmother’s when she was five years old.

4 imaginary boys:

4 imaginary boys is a deejay collective depicted as Bobby Gillespie with 2000 John Peel proceedings at a secret disco party for punks in pumps. The Boys have been spotted behind the decks at Butter Factory, Cocco Latte, Q Bar, House and, Zouk's Flea & Easy following indie night residencies at Liquid Room's SoundBar and at Barbaablackchic.

Car Crash Hearts (MY):

This band was formed in the year 2008 and it was the initial brain child of Alda. He was able to find Collin, and Aliff using the powers of the internet.

Carlos Castano (PH):

Carlos is the part of the music world for a little less than a decade and loves to do things his way which is basically telling stories at his own pace. Currently, he is working on his first solo album (which will be released sometime this year) entitled City Light Soundtrack drawing influences from names like John Mayer & Ray LaMontagne.
