From 26th April, 2010 Burger King has started selling an Iron Man-themed burger named the “Whiplash Whopper” for the purpose of its promotion. Whiplash Whopper is –“an intense, red-hot flavor combination featuring a flame-broiled Whopper sandwich topped with melted Pepper Jack cheese, crispy red peppers, and spicy mayonnaise.” With Whiplash Whopper, the fast food restaurant also offers 8 Iron Man-themed toys in the kids’ meals in which 4 toys are designed for boys and 4 Iron Man toys are designed for girls, including an exclusive "Iron Man 2" figurine that stands a full seven inches tall when assembled.
Throughout the four-week promotion, the fiery sandwich will be available for $3.79 at participating restaurants. Burger King also promotes Iron Man-themed toys at its official (www.clubbk.com) website. Berger King going to ventilation various ads for promoting the movie and the restaurant tie-in and to reflect the tie-in. The 8 toys of Iron Man-themed are Lightup Iron Man Mark VI Charm Necklace, Iron Man Mark VI Gold Charm Necklace, Iron Man Message Board, Cyclone Spinning Robot Drone, Repulsor Power Iron Man, Construct N Play Iron Man, Flip N Fly War Machine, and Black Widow Bracelet.
An exclusive collection of BK(R) Kids Meal toys is created by Burger King Corp. that brings the power and attitude of "Iron Man" into restaurants, to mark the return of this popular movie franchise. The promotion of movie is designed separately for adult and kid. The highly-anticipated sequel will hit theaters on May 7, in its celebration, the promotion flies into participating restaurants. The King armors up with a futuristic "Iron Man" suit in the national adult television commercial. The latest technologies from the BURGER KING(R) brand to the curious visitors were introduced by the "Iron King” at the Stark Expo. The main aim of BURGER KING(R) is to deliver high-tech value with flame-fresh taste by another new great product, the Buck Double sandwich.
