The range of the altimeter is incredible as it can go from minus seven hundred meters up to ten thousand meters. The temperature can also be measured is invaluable, if you are camping in the mountain and need to decide what the actual weather is. Barometer is the other useful function for climbers as one can easily follow the changes in the pressure while climbing the top of the mountain.
