According to spokeswoman, 26-year-old British singer Cheryl Cole has filed for divorce against her soccer star husband Ashley Cole after four year of marriage. According to sources Cheryl just wants a clean break and she is not interested in financial wrangling.

Cheryl Cole became famous for "Girls Aloud" band and for playing a role of judge in "The X Factor" talent show. The Sun tabloid reported that she is expected to apply for a "quickie" divorce.

Cheryl Cole’s management Supersonic PR confirmed the news on Twitter today in morning, wrote the message, 'We can confirm the divorce. We have no further comment.'

29 years old, Ashley Cole started his career as a defender with Arsenal, moving to their London rivals Chelsea in 2006. He has played over 70 games for his country. This summer he is in the provisional team to participate in the World Cup in South Africa.

Cheryl and Ashley married on 15 July 2006 in Wrotham Park, Hertfordshire. The couple has lived in the full glare in the media spotlight, with paparazzi following their every move. According to Media reports, she had cited the "unreasonable behavior" of her husband, after a string of tabloid allegations of his infidelity.
