Devry Student Login Guide using MyDeVry Student Portal (my.devry.edu)

Devry Student Portal is identified as MyDeVry Student Portal, which is an online web based student portal system. Students and alumni are provided with a single point of entry to self-directed web-based services at MyDeVry Student Portal. At MyDeVry Student Portal, students can view/pay their school bill, view their student grades, update their contact information, enroll in or waive the student health insurance, order free/discounted software for their study and lot more benefits after login on the website.

For email account, students are needed to provide a primary email address through which they can contact with DeVry. All emails of campus will be sent to this email address. DeVry does not make available a directory of student accounts for privacy reasons. DeVry provides a new email account to students to sign up and use it as their primary email address, whether they are a graduate or undergraduate student, and using the my.devry.edu web portal.

Accessing MyDeVry Student Portal:

For getting start, access the MyDeVry student portal by using this URL: http://my.devry.edu. To log in, enter your DeVry Student ID Number and password (Your birth date YYYYMM, for example, someone born in June of 1966 would have a password of 196606) then click on “login” option. If you are unable to login, or get a message that your password has expired, then click on the Password Reset request link, and your password will be reset within two minutes. If you want to change your password, then it must be at least six characters and include at least one numeric. Contact your local campus Help Desk for assistance at helpwes@devry.edu. When you have completed work at the MyDeVry student portal, make sure you log out.

New students can go for registration by entering their old password (birth-date: yyyymm) or enter New Password at least 6 characters long and must contain at least one number then enter new Password Again and click “OK” button. If they have forgot password then enter all pertinent information completely such as first name, last name, DSI number (D00000000), phone number, birth date (mmddyyyy), Email address, Role: Student and Select appropriate type then click on “Submit” button. After submission, 'Thank you' message will be displayed so wait for an email response with new login information before taking any other action.

After accessing the MyDeVry student portal, students can:

  • Access OSS (login link)
  • Check for Alerts/Holds
  • Access Degree Navigator
  • Review Plans of Study
  • Review Current Course Offerings
  • Receive Tips and Error Messages
  • Receive Special Instructions for Online Students
  • Add or Drop Courses
  • Schedule Assistance/Academic Advisors.

How do I access OSS Student Self Service?

From the Portal main page, within My Tools, depending on which you require, click on [Register for My Classes], [Change My Schedule] or [Update My Contact Info].

  • Click on the 'DVU OSS Student Self Service' link.
  • Click on the “Home” link to access OSS (Oracle Stu-dent System).
  • You may be asked to verify your information.

Once, you have access your Personal Information, and Academic Information in OSS, you will see the links on the OSS Home page, which will take you directly to the designated areas, such as:

  • Browse Unit Sections: The ability to search and add on any course by Term, Career, Keyword, Call Number, Instructor, Organizational Unit, Time Between, Day of the Week, Location and Status.
  • Enrollment Now Open: Selecting this link will allow you to see your schedule and to enroll in courses for terms open for registration. This also replaces the previous “View Student Schedule” link.
  • My Status: This shows your Academic Status, if you have a financial or academic then a link to the hold will display in this region.
  • Academic Connection: Use these links to help you register for courses or look up prior coursework.
  • University Links: These are quick links to other DeVry websites.

How do I search and enroll in units/courses?

Select the “Enrollment Now Open” Link on the Home Page. This will bring you to a Schedule page to search. Click ‘Search and Add’ to find for the course to enroll. If you know the Call Number, then select the button. (Note: As of Fall 2006 both Graduate and Undergraduate students are on a standard semester schedule of FALL, SPRING, and SUMMER sessions) Fill out any one of the following fields or a combination of fields such as Key Word, Call Number, Instructor, Time Between, and Day of the Week, Location or Status. (Note: You may also select the Teaching Period)

The results will appear at the bottom of the page. Select the checkbox for the appropriate course(s) and click on “add” option. For your information, you may receive a warning. You may receive an error and to remove the error, remove the course from the enrollment cart by selecting the trash can. Resolve conflicts and click on ‘Enroll’ option. (Note: A warning will not appear for enrolling in prior attempted or completed courses. Please check to make sure you are enrolling in the correct course) You will then be taken back to the 'Schedule Page' on the Enrollment tab. (Note: If you did not receive any conflicts as shown above, you would then be taken directly to this page showing the newly enrolled course)

How do I know I have a hold on my account?

Several errors are received when there is a hold on your account; a few examples are given below of what you may see either on the home page or while en-rolling in courses.

The first example is what you may see on your home page after logging into https://my.devry.edu. The screenshot to the left is an example of a posted HOLD (an empty Release Date field means the hold is active). This error is received upon clicking on the ‘You have 1 Hold(s) message’ (enlarged above). In this instance, you would need to contact your local Academic Advisor or Registrar for assistance. Students attempting to enroll by clicking their “Enrollment Now Open” link will encounter the hold message to the right.

How do I drop a Unit/Course in OSS?

You can only drop a unit/course prior to the start of the term. See academic or center support staff to drop a unit any other time during the term. On the Enrollment tab, click on 'Schedule' option. This will bring you to the Schedule page. Click on the blue X in the 'Drop' column for the course you wish to drop. The message will appear, “The identified unit sections will be dropped. Do you wish to drop these unit sections?" Click ’Yes’ button. You will then receive a confirmation screen stating “Unit has been successfully dropped.”

How do I swap a Unit/Course in OSS?

Drop a course and replace it with another. Swapping courses can only be done prior to the start of the term. After the term starts, see an administrator to make schedule changes. On the OSS Home Page, click on ‘Enrollment Now Open’ or click on the Enrollment tab under “schedule”. This will bring to the Schedule page. Click on the “Swap” button. Select the appropriate course that will be replaced or ‘swapped’ on your schedule and click “next” option. Click either Search or Add, if you need to search for the course. (Click Quick Add if you know the Call Number or specific Unit Section Information)

Fill out any one of the following fields or a combination of fields such as Key Word, Call Number, Instructor, Organizational Unit, Time Between, and Day of the Week, Location or Status. (Note: You may also select the Teaching Period) Click on ‘Go’ option. Select the course checkbox then click on “add” option. Resolve any conflicts and once you have the course, you would like to replace click on ‘Next’ option. You will see a review screen in which you will be able to view the courses you are swapping. Click on ‘Submit’ option. You are then taken back to your schedule page on the Enroll-ment tab showing the changes.

How do I view my schedule in OSS?

On the OSS Home Page, click on ‘Enrollment Now Open’ or click on the Enrollment tab under schedule. This will bring to the Schedule page. Click on the 'Show' link to view the details of each course. (Note: This is where the call number is listed that can be used for ‘Quick Add’). To print a copy of your schedule, select printable page and select File/Print in the menu bar of your browser. Click on 'Hide' to hide schedule details.

How do I view my schedule in a grid?

Click on ‘View grid schedule’ option on your Student Portal page. Click on appropriate term. (NOTE: You will see your current enrolled term and any future enroll terms.) You will see a grid of your schedule with the enrolled units listed at the bottom of the page.

Undergraduate Students will see one of the following:

  • Standard schedule
  • Session A schedule
  • Session B schedule
  • Session A and Standard
  • Session B and Standard Online units will be listed on the bottom of the page.

Graduate Students will see

Term Schedule online units will be listed on the bottom of the page. Undergraduate students who are enrolled in Session A and B units will see a link at the top of the grid.

How do I view my Academic History?

On the Welcome Page, select the ‘Academics Tab”, which is located at the top of the page or the Academics link at the bottom of the page. This will bring you to the Academic History page. Select appropriate Career from the drop down. Click on 'Go' option. Click on 'Show' option to view your Aca-demic History for the selected term.

How do I access Degree Navigator?

Once connected to the Internet, type the following URL to access the MyDeVry portal: https://my.DeVry.edu. Click on the 'Degree Navigator' link on the my.devry.edu Student Page. Click on the 'Access Degree Navigator' button on the Degree Audit Service page.

How do I access and activate my Online Payment Service Account?

Click on the 'View or Pay My Bill' link. (WARNING: Do not use the 'Back' button on your browser.) Go to: https://my.devry.edu. (Note: This website is available for U.S. students only) Recurring Payment option is now available to students by selecting the “CLICK HERE” link to request automatic bill payments.

For online payment if you login first time, then you will:

Review 'Terms and Conditions', Select 'Please Accept Agreement'. Click on ‘Next’ option, you will see your name and DSI Number that are already entered on the 'Enrollment Personal Information' screen. Enter 'Email Address' and 'Phone Number' (Not a required field). Click on 'Next' button. (Note: This information is tied to the student system. To change this information you will need to contact your Registrar or center support staff.) Click on 'Pay Now' option. Depending on the payment type you have selected, there are different required fields such as Credit Card Required Fields and Bank Accounts (Checking or Saving) Required Fields.

If you have entered your payment information, including the amount, then click 'Submit' option on the Payment Confirmation screen, and then you should review the entered information. Click on 'Complete' option and receive an email notification upon completing activation and every time you have a new e-Bill. Then you will be taken back to the main page showing your billing statements. The bill status will be updated stating ‘Partially Paid or Paid in Full’ option, which depends on full payment and partial payment, made by you.

The ‘Payment History’ tab shows 12 months of prior payments that were made online through this website. The ‘My Profile’ tab shows is where you are able to ‘Invite Other Payer’ or Add/Remove Payment Account’ information. Click ‘Invite Other Payer’ to invite your parents, guardian or third party payers to pay your tuition bill online. Enter 'Nickname', 'My Email Address', and 'Other Payer Email Address', then click on 'Invite' button. Then you will be provided information regarding the invited payer including the details like the Activation ID they will be sent via email. (Note: You must provide your DSI number and full name to the person you are sending the invitation as they will need this to sign up to pay your bill online)

How do I access my Financial Aid Information?

Visit my.devry.edu, click on the 'My Financial Aid – Undergraduate Students' (or be-low My Financial Aid – Graduate Students’ option. Click the appropriate tabs or links to view your financial aid information. Click 'Your Awards' tab to view your currently scheduled financial aid awards.

Click 'Your Documents' tab to view the current status of your required documents. Click the 'Messages' tab for important notices related to your financial aid. (Note: For Undergraduate students only: Your monthly Educard payment amount will be listed here) Click 'Your Loan History' tab to view your aggregate borrowing. Click 'Your Loan History' tab to view your aggregate borrowing.
