It is believed that Endhiran's story is based on Sujatha’s novels: En Iniya Iyanthira and Jeeno. First half part of Endhiran is comedy and second half part is filled with action. Sound mixing of Endhiran is done by Oscar winner Rasal Pookutty. Its director said that 90 percent of the shooting of Endhiran' is over but only two song’s shot is remaining. In the movie, Rajnikanth plays a double role, as a robot and as a scientist Vaseegaran. As scientist, he creates a robot for his physically challenged child to play with. Due to Some fault, the robot starts to kill people forcing the scientist to finish his state-of-the-art invention. Aishwarya plays a role of Sharmili. Danny Denzongpa, Santhanam and Karunas are also starring in this movie. Until the release date, Producer S. Shankar has always remained a top secret about the film story.
