American film and television actor Fess Parker was died at the age of 85. He died by natural causes at his home Santa Ynez Valley on Thursday, March 18th, 2010. His death came on the 84th birthday of his wife Marcella, according to the sources. His Funeral arrangement will be announced later, his family spokesperson says after few minutes of his death. He had two kids named, Ashley Allen Rinehart and Fess Elisha III.
Fess Parker was very famous for his first television series “Davy Crockett” as Crockett's sidekick with Buddy Ebsen, which was broadcasted on December 1954 as part of the “Disneyland” TV show. In 1955, the first three television episodes were turned into a theatrical film, "Davy Crockett, King of the Wild Frontier". Fess Parker was also well known as a resort owner operator and wine maker.
Disneyland brought the Crockett character for some episodes in the season of 1955-56, including "Davy Crockett's Keelboat Race." This is very interesting story, the walt Disney Company find an actor, Parker to play Davy Crockett, he was appeared in a largest role in the film. Parker has played a small role in various films including, "Springfield Rifle", "The Bounty Hunter", "Island in the Sky", "Battle Cry" and among other. He came back on television from 1964-70, and appeared in the title role in ‘Mr Smith Goes to Washington’ television series.
His most famous NBC’s television series ‘Daniel Boone,’ which is based on a real life American frontiersman, he played the title role Daniel Boone. It is one of the highest rated shows of its time, running over six years. He was also co- producer and director of five episodes of this series and after that Parker turned to become a real estate developer in Santa Barbara.
He has also worked in various movies included "No Room for the Groom" (1952), "The Kid From Left Field" (1953), "Them!" (1954), "The Great Locomotive Chase" (1956), "Westward Ho, the Wagons!" (1956), "Old Yeller" (1957) and "The Light in the Forest" (1958). He was nominated for Emmy Award for the best new personality in 1954.
