The FIFA Confederations Cup is the eighth Confederations Cup which will held in South Africa as a preface to the 2010 FIFA World Cup. The FIFA Confederations Cup is a national team of football tournament which is held every four years by FIFA.
The final match is scheduled to be held at Coca-Cola Park, in Johannesburg, at South Africa on June 28, 2009 at 20:30; United States will play final with Brazil. It will be the first appearance ever before in the past for the USA in the final of a FIFA men's competition as the USA has won FIFA women's titles at senior and U-20 levels but the men has not came in the final before anytime in this FIFA Confederations Cup.
Before the starting of the final match, FIFA will give honor to the Camera man Marc-Vivien Foé, who died in 2003 due to heart related disease during a FIFA Confederations Cup match. The total prize money for the 2009 Confederations Cup is US $17.6 million and the winning team will received US $3.75 million and the runner up will received US $3.25 million. The third place holding team will received US $2.75 million and the fourth place holding team will received US $2.25 million. The remaining teams which ranked from fifth to eighth will received US $1.4 million. It will be very interesting to watch the final of this match so do not forget to see this exciting match.
