How to pay First Energy Bill online?

Visit www.firstenergycorp.com and click on 'Log in' given on top of the homepage. If you already have an account then you can log in at the site to set up this convenient service. If you don’t have an account, then press 'Register' button. You have to select the option that describes you such as Residential Customer, Business Customer, Builder Contractor, or Developer and Landlord. Then push the Next button. Registration form will display fill all the personal information. The last four digits of your Social Security Number are necessary. Then again click on next. You will get an e-mailed verification upon successful registration and gain access to your online account. You will receive a monthly e-mail notification when your bill is ready, once you registered at the website for the program.

Note: It is your responsibility to make sure your electric bill is paid each month; even in the event your notification e-mail is not successfully delivered to you.

Process of cancellation of ebill:

After registering in the Automatic Credit Card Payment Program, when you request that eBill to be cancelled, you will be eliminated from that program as participation in eBill is obligatory for that option. First sign in at the site by using your user name and password. Visit My Account page and press on Cancel button to the right of the eBill option under the My Billing & Payments section. After that, push Yes button to confirm that you want to be eliminated from the eBill program. You will get an e-mail confirming, the removal upon successful cancellation of the eBill program. With your next meter reading, you will start receiving paper bills through the U.S. Mail starting.

Checkless Payment Plan:
On the due date scheduled on the electric bill, your bill payment is deducted automatically from your bank account with FirstEnergy's Checkless Payment Plan. Without having to worry about writing a check or buying a stamp or possibly losing your payment in the mail, you know your electric bill is paid on time.

Equal Payment Plan (EPP):
You are billed one-twelfth of your annual expected usage each month, in FirstEnergy's Equal Payment Plan. Ohio and Pennsylvania operating company customers have their accounts reviewed quarterly and the payment amount attuned to account for your actual household use during the year. The reviews happen in the 8th and 12th months, in New Jersey. When you have chosen an alternate electric generation supplier, EPP is calculated on distribution charges only. In the EPP amount, supplier charges are not included. The amount due is adjusted higher or lower than your usual amount on the anniversary month of your enrollment so as to bring your balance for the year to zero. To ensure the suitable payment amount for the new plan year, your account is reviewed yearly.

Pay by phone:
You can also pay your monthly bill over the phone using your Credit/Debit Card or ATM Debit Card. Call 1-866-569-4770. It is speedy, simple and safe. This service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and you can choose from these convenient payment options.

  • Credit Card (Visa®, MasterCard®, or Discover)
  • ATM Debit Card (Star, Pulse, NYCE, or ACCEL)

Please have the following information ready:

  • Your credit or ATM debit number on the front of your card
  • Amount of payment
  • Electric company account number
  • Zip code where the card statement is mailed
  • 3-digit security card (CVV) from back of card
  • Month/year expiration date
  • Telephone Number
  • Pen and paper to write down the confirmation number

A verification number will be provided once your one-time payment is approved. Payments made before 12 midnight will be credited to your account the next business day and the payments made after 12 midnight will be credited to your account within two business days. Following your transaction, call them during normal business hours (Monday through Friday 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM).

Automatic Credit Card Payment Program:
Electric bill is automatically charged to your Visa or MasterCard consumer credit or debit card five days after listed on your electric bill, with the Automatic Credit Card Payment Program. Without having to worry about writing a check, buying a stamp, or losing your payment in the mail you know your electric bill is paid on time. You will also enjoy the benefits of eBill Electronic Billing which enables you to access your billing and account information electronically, day or night with this option.

Authorized payment agents:
To make paying your electric bill more expedient, FirstEnergy has contracted with various establishments in each of their service areas. For a nominal fee per transaction, customers may make their payments at any authorized payment agent location. Fees may differ by individual location. Pay by mail:
