Many digital cameras are launching day by day so any new model camera needs to have highly appealing features to stand out. In order to meet up with the increasing demand, manufactures are launching digital cameras with tremendous features and new dimensions but these digital cameras are expensive. If you want to take somewhat more professional photographs without investing in a DSLR and different lenses, then you have a great option as Fujifilm has added a new addition named X-S1 to its high-end 'X Series'. Fujifilm X-S1 is a new DSLR like bridge camera which will hit the Japan market on 7th December for ¥80,000 ($1,000) and UK market in February, 2012 for £699 ($1082).

Fujifilm X-S1 is the 3rd X series camera followed by X100 and X10. Among these three X series camera, X-S1 is the bulkiest. It features rubberized coating, superior handling characteristics and metal dials. It comes with a Fujinon 26x optical zoom lens which lets the users to take sharp and high-quality images of distant and hard to see subjects. It has 2/3 inch 12-megapixel EXR CMOS sensor like Fuji X10, which delivers high quality images irrespective of the lighting conditions.

An f/2.8 maximum aperture lens and Intelligent Dgital Zoom technology is also included in the camera which increase the focal range two times and provide an unbelievable 52x zoom range of 24-1248mm (35mm equivalent). X-S1 lens includes 17 glass elements (4 aspherical elements and 2 ED lenses) which provide images with edge-to-edge sharpness and wonderful clarity. The users can focus down to 30cm in standard mode and to 1cm by choosing Super Macro Mode for frame-filling close-up images. Opening of the lens is prepared by 9 blades which guarantee superb bokeh effect photography.

The users can leave the Fujifilm X-S1 camera on EXR Auto Mode or they can choose one of the 3 modes: High Resolution (HR), Wide Dynamic Range (DR) and High Sensitivity and Low Noise (SN) according to the lighting conditions. HR mode is for bright conditions, DR should be selected in scenes of high contrast while SN mode is for optimum low-light situations. The wonderful combination of EXR CMOS sensor and EXR Processor provide minimum shutter lag of just 0.01sec and high speed nonstop shooting ability of 7 frames per sec at full resolution (Large JPEG) or ten frames per sec at 6 megapixel resolution (Average JPEG).

It lets the users to take full HD (1920x1080 pixels) videos along with stereo sound at thirty frames per sec. These videos are saved in H.264 format. It has a remarkable sensitivity range between ISO 100 and ISO 3200 which can be expanded up to ISO 12800 while shooting in the small JPEG format. It includes a tiltable 3-inch 460,000 pixel LCD display which provide a Daylight mode to beat the difficulty of viewing the screen in brighter conditions.

The users will have full manual control over their photography as X-S1 offers a full array of conventional shooting functions such as Program, Aperture and Shutter Priority and fully manual. It also lets the users to fine tune levels of image sharpness, colour and tone. X-S1 is capable to shoot in raw format as well as offers 4 auto bracketing options & 8 Film Simulation and white balance functions. It also contains optical image stabilization on board with a 360degree Motion Panorama mode. X-S1 allows the users to shoot up to 500 shots per charge thanks to its Lithium battery.

Fujifilm X-S1 has remarkable zoom range and surprising features like fast F2.8 aperture, manual controls & custom settings.
