Muammar Gaddafi was honored with "Guide of the First of September Great Revolution of the Socialist People's Libyan Arab Jamahiriya" or "Leader and Guide of the Revolution" at government speeches and official press after surrendering the power of prime minister. He served for longest time as a leader in the Libya since Libya and then Tripoli came out as an Ottoman region in 1551. Recently, his children were found to involve in the many disgraces in addition to wasteful show off of their extravagance.

As per the estimation of US Embassy diplomats in the Libyan capital of Tripoli, Gaddafi children placed the authority on the country in a way as the country was their personal organization. Members of Gaddafi family were engaged in the different departments in the Libya. For instant, the oldest son of Muammar, Muhammad Gaddafi governed telecommunication; Muatassim served as National Security Adviser; Hannibal was leading in the maritime shipping and Khamis controlled top military unit. The daughter of Gaddafi, Aisha owned the quasi-governmental organization while another son of Muammar, Saadi was associated to the setting up an Export Free Trade Zone in western Libya.

The unrestricted control of Gaddafi family was emerged in July, 2008 when fourth eldest son, Muatassim forced the chairman of National Oil Corporation to grant cash of $1.2bn and oil shipments to set up his own militia. One cabal said that the reports of Muatassim's "Carousing and extravagance angered some locals, who viewed his activities as impious and embarrassing to the nation."  And Serbian ambassador told him as "not very bright." The one more report was known to public about utilizing government funds in Hannibal’s maritime transportation company.

Fifth son of colonel, Hannibal was kept in the custody in 2009 for hitting servants in the hotel at Switzerland and that raised the ambassadorial quarrel between Switzerland and Libya. Additionally, the “close integration of private and public interests in many of Libya’s key economic entities” turned clear when Libya stooped the oil shipments against the confinement in Geneva in response to hitting servants at Switzerland restaurant. This action may have provoked the going uprising in the Libya.

In 2009, reports were also leak about the Hannibal’s wife Aline who was supposed to mistreat by her husband. She was also intimidated to go away from Hannibal and ran off to London. Hannibal followed the Aline in London and he injured the Aline. After that his mother, Safiya and sister, Aisha convinced Aline to say that she was met an incident and not tortured by her husband. Once more, in 2009 the another son Sa'adi was caught by the European Police for his misbehavior in abusing of drugs and alcohol, doing too much parties and tripping to abroad in opposition to his father’s concerns.

Moreover, Seif al-Islam el-Qaddafi, second-eldest son of Gaddafi was reported to pay $1 million to Mariah Carey to sing only four songs on the Caribbean island of St. Barts. But he refused for this in his own published newspaper and told that it was given by his brother Muatassim. According to the one statement released in 2010, Seif al-Islam Gaddafi had made reputable personality as Libya's face to the West and gained locals calling to be heir-apparent. Seif added the fame in his father’s side due to his humanity, the Gaddafi International Charity and efficient help to the earthquake-devastated Haiti. But he broke his built image before few days when he stated on television to do civil war if anti-government protesters continued their riots.

The disagreement among the Gaddafi siblings is also noted by the cabals. In 2010, the cabals written by Gene Cretz and afterward by U.S. ambassador to Libya concluded the Gadaffi family as ‘the provider of sufficient dust for Libyan soap opera.’ The behaviors of kinfolk have made the public angry at the boiling level and concurrently the stress amid offspring created disarray in the oil-rich African country. As per the reviews by U.S. diplomats put out at secret-spilling web site, WikiLeaks Gaddafi declared to compete to the “last drop of blood” to cease the revolt against his 42 year job for the North African nation.
