A new Budget Android tablet, HCL ME X1 has been just launched in India by the HCL Infosystems. This Next-Gen ME Tablet has ordinary specs, but it comes with number of apps developed in the tablet which makes it special. This sleek budget tab is fourth device in Me Series collection of HCL and comes in the Indian market with the price tag of INR 10,490. This device comes with unique combination of technology and style.

HCL ME X1 is powered with a 1GHz ARM Cortex A8 Processor and runs on the Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS. The X1 sports a 7″ capacitive touch screen display having resolution of 800x480 pixels. It is featured with 2MP camera, 512MB of RAM and 4GB internal storage which is expandable up to 32GB via microSD. This device also supports power packed full HD video content and Flash via Adobe Flash Player 10.3. Technically, this device supports only Wi-Fi connectivity; however it also provides 3G data connectivity using USB dongles. It has a 3500 mAh battery.

The device enables a unique access at the ME App store, which has more than 10,000 applications. It sports 34 pre-loaded applications covering jobs, travel, local search, entertainment and communications. It is packed with a trendy user interface which allows you to navigate the Android gadget smoothly. According to HCL, it is the only device having an option of data connectivity via USB dongles. The X1 is powered with a full blown PC connect called ‘ME Connect’ which enables you for seamless data transfer to the tablet from any computer device. The X1 also sports a 24X7 one touch service ‘HCL Touch’ which facilitates back-up service.  

The ME X1 Tablets hit the stores through 13th October, 2011. It will be available at price of around Rs. 10,490.
