Honda's new Hybrid car CR-Z Price and specs

Honda has revealed its new model of CR-Z sport hybrid coupe in Tokyo and America. At present Honda is Japan’s second biggest automaker. Honda's new Honda CR-Z 2011 is the first hybrid designed to maximize style and fun as well as efficiency and economy. During the last year Honda released the Civic and Insight hybrid electric car versions, after that CR-Z is the 3rd hybrid car of Honda.

Honda CEO Takeo Fukui introduced Honda CR-Z first time as a concept vehicle on October 23, 2007 in the 2007 Tokyo Auto Show. During this show, he stated that a production model is in the works. Then the car was designed to be sporty, incredibly efficient and economical. At the 2008 Detroit North American International Auto Show, the Honda CR-Z was first shown in America. Honda presented a revised CR-Z Concept 2009 at Tokyo Motor Show of 2009.

Honda CR-Z is a first generation of navigation-equipped cars. The CR-Z consists 1.5liter i-VTEC engine with Honda’s compact and lightweight Integrated Motor Assist (IMA) hybrid-electric system and producing a combined 122 horsepower and 128 pound-feet of torque. CR-Z is a two-seater car. This car introduces a new three-mode drive system allowing the driver to choose including Eco, Normal, and Sport. The car will be available for sale in Japan Friday then in Europe and USA.

The CR-Z's hatchback design offers decent cargo space in back and the two spaces divided by the former rear seat back rest. It has optional six-speed manual transmission.

CR-Z stands for Compact Renaissance Zero. This term show that a renaissance in the design of compact cars that begins a different from essentials. CR-Z is a lightweight hybrid sports car which features advanced technologies that deliver pleasant driving for all. The exterior part of the car is looking very stylist and elegant. Its LED headlights designed after luminous bodies to convey a sharp impression and jaunty fin-shaped. Its interior design is hi-tech and sporty.

The official release says that the car was tested in Japan where it made an average 25km/l (58.8 miles/gallon) and in USA calculations and conditions the car makes a 36 miles/gallon in city driving and 38 miles/gallon on highways.

The Honda CR-Z’s price is just available at Japan where 2.268 mil yen cc basic model price is 25300$ and 2,490 mil yen cc top-end model price is 27900$.
