Amex India credit card is facilitated by the National Electronic Funds Transfer (NEFT) network and American Express India is a part of it. One can pay online from any bank account in the country. Bill payments through NEFT are not subject to any maximum ceiling or minimum limit besides Amex credit card. The remitting bank must also be linked to NEFT to avail this service.

How to Pay Your Amex Card Bill Online?
Login to the Net Banking of the remitting account and submit your register with the Amex credit card as a beneficiary for making an Amex credit card payment through NEFT. If you do not have a Net Banking account then request for an NEFT application form and provide the following details:
- Amex 16 digit credit card number
- Name and address of the remitting bank branch
- Remitting account type, that is savings or current
- Remitting account’s number
To offer online ‘Bill Payment’ service, American Express has tied up with ICICI, ABN AMRO, HDFC and Citibank. Log on to the Net Banking account of one of these four banks and choose the Bill Payment option to register for the service and make payments towards an Amex card bill.
To pay bill at www.americanexpress.com:
Visit www.americanexpress.com and click "Create an Account" on the left side of the page. Click "Continue" on the following page. Enter your 15-digit card number and the four-digit security code. Again click on continue. Enter your name, address and bank account information from which money will be deducted to pay your American Express bill online. Create a user name and unique password that will allow you to sign in to pay your bill. Customize your account to pay your bill automatically by subtracting directly from a checking or savings account every month.
You can pay the minimum or full amount due every month or post your statement online to your email account. Verify account set up through the confirmation email sent to your account. If you did not set up your account to automatically pay your balance or minimum payment due each month, enter the American Express site and sign in with your user name and password when your online statement arrives. Make your desired payment and click submit.

Enroll at www.americanexpress.com to pay your American Express Card Account online and make payments at your convenience. You can pay immediately or schedule a future payment.
Pay Your Card Automatically
To automate your monthly American Express bill payment, sign up for AutoPay. Sign up for AutoPay to have your payments automatically deducted from your bank account.
Pay Your Card Bill By Mobile Phone
When you are on the way, you can access your account by visiting americanexpress.com from your mobile web browser and logging in to pay your current statement or set up a future payment.

When your payment is due or has been received, register and receive account updates by e-mail or mobile device.

In person:
At an American Express branch, cardholders can directly pay their outstanding credit card payments. However, this facility is only available in selected metros, including Chennai, Kolkatta and New Delhi.
By post or courier:
If you want to make a credit card payment by post or courier, then send a crossed cheque or draft, payable to "American Express Bank credit card number", with the payment slip that is attached at the bottom of the card statement.
Drop boxes:
Cardholders can also drop their cheque or draft into an Amex drop box, which are setup at several Amex ATMs across the nation. A detailed list of Amex drop-box locations can be found on the American Express India website.
