Paper football is a table top game and slightly based on American football. A small triangle is made by folding a sheet of paper and two opponents slid it back and forth across a table top in Paper Football game. Boys of primary and middle school age in the United States widely practiced this game as an informal recreation. Paper football has been an inexpensive and simple way to deal with downtime during school for generations of children.
Procedure to make a paper football:
1). First of all take 8 ½ by 11 in sheet of paper. You can draw a design for your football, If you want to print or draw for your football, then put it where the designs are shown in the below picture. To get it the right size and in the right spot on the paper, it will take some experimentation for you.
2.) In half lengthwise, fold the paper.
3.) Unfold the sheet and in half along the crease, cut it, make 2 tall strips 4.25 in wide by 11 in tall.
4.) In front of you, place one of the halves vertically and fold it in half lengthwise.
5.) Fold the lower right up and left as a result, it lines up flush with the left edge of the paper. To make a triangle, crease the paper diagonally.
6.) Flip the triangle up therefore the point lines up with the left edge.
7.) Until you reach the top, continue folding triangles up the paper.
8.) Undo the last fold and fold the top corner down therefore the two points meet, making a triangle in the opposite direction.
9.) Trim about one inch off the right point of the triangle.
10.) Tuck the extra paper into the pocket.
11.) Press down on the football to flatten and now a paper football is ready.
How to play a paper football?
To play paper football, you have to follow these instructions:
1.) Two players sit on opposite ends of a flat, smooth table.
2.) Every player takes a turn to place the football flat on the table and hang over the edge directly in front of him and propelling the ball towards the opponent by tapping it with his hand. Without falling off, the player whose ball lands closest to the opponent's edge, gets the chance to play first.
3.) The player who ends up closest places the ball on the table in front of him--this time not hanging over the edge--and taps it toward the opponent by either flicking it with one or more fingers or by tapping forcefully on the table directly in front of the ball to propel it forward.
4.) The player, who hits the ball and scores a touchdown, if the ball comes to a stop hanging over the edge of the opponent's side of the table. Touchdown is worth six point.
5). The player who scored tries to make an extra point, if a touchdown is made once. See the image below of how to make field goal posts with your fingers that looks like two guns shooting each other. The player who was scored upon forms a field goal post by holding his hands together on the table with both index fingers pointing inwards.
6). An interesting method of doing goal is here: To kick the ball between the field goal post, scoring player should use one middel finger to hold tha paper ball upright on the table with its longest side vertical and flicking the ball into the air with the other hand (Use middle finger this time for perfect shot). If the player's goal is successful then he can register another point.
7.) The other player takes a turn trying to score a touchdown, if a player does not score a touchdown on his turn.
8.) When a player hits the ball and it falls over the edge of the table, this is called an "off." The other player places the ball flat on the table in front of him, and play continues, but once a player commits three offs, the opponent gets to try a field goal. A field goal is played exactly like an extra point, except it is worth three points.
9.) The person who scores more points will be the winner.
