Ice-creams are loved by everyone, whether a kid or an aged person. Many different flavors of ice cream are available in the market. To provide quality and variety in their ice cream, Ice cream manufacturers make a special effort. With the use of an ice cream maker, you can also make your own homemade ice cream. If you do not have an ice cream maker, then you can make homemade ice cream just by hand. Before starting, you need to be sure you have all the right tools in kitchen. Try these delicious ice-cream recipes at your home and enjoy with your family and friends.
Prepare ice cream at home:
- 1/2 cup of sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon of almond extract
- 1 cup of half-and-half (milk)
- 1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoons of shelled pistachio nuts.
- 2 tablespoons of flight corn syrup
- 1/4 teaspoon of salt
- small heavy sauce pan
- large strainer
- large bowl
- 1 cup of heavy cream
- ice cream machine
- food processor
Take a food processor, place 1/2 cup of pistachio nuts and the corn syrup in a food processor. For approximately two minutes, blend the nuts and corn syrup until the nuts are completely smooth. In a small heavy sauce pan, bring to a boil, the half-and-half. Now add the sugar and stir it until it is completely dissolved. Take away the mixture from the heat and set aside.
Into a running food processor, gradually pour the hot half-and-half and sugar mixture and mix it with the pistachio nut puree. Continue the process of mixing until entire mixture is smooth. Through a large strainer, pour the nut mixture into a large mixing bowl, until all the excess particle remnants are removed. Put it for some time to make it slightly cool. Stir in the salt, cream, vanilla and almond extract.
Now put the mixture in the refrigerator until it cold or overnight. Stick the mixture into the freezer for one to two hours to speed up the process. Stir the chilled cream mixture and then start the freezing process in your ice cream machine, following the instructions of manufacturer. When the ice cream is semi-frozen, add the remaining two teaspoons of pistachio nuts, allowing the machine to blend in the nuts well. Place the ice cream in a freezer-safe container for approximately two hours or overnight. Now ice-cream is ready to eat so enjoy it with your family.
- 100g/40z caster sugar
- 4 egg yolks
- 300 ml/10 fl oz milk
- 300 ml/10fl oz double cream
- 2 vanilla pods
- Ice-cream maker
- Heavy based pan
- Chopping board
- Large bowl
- Tupperware for storing
Take a pan, put milk in it and place it on medium heat. Bring to just under a boiling point do not allow it to overheat. Place damp towel on work surface and put bowl on top. Add sugar and egg yolks. Whisk until the sugar and eggs combined. When milk has heated up, pour it little by little into bowl of eggs and sugar and whisk continuously. Transfer it back to the pan. Now heat until it becomes thick. Place pan on medium heat. Stir it continuously and allow to thicken. It should take three to five minutes. When it become thick pour it into a bowl and set it aside.
Combine vanilla and cream. Place vanilla pods on chopping board. Slice it lengthways and split pod open. Scrap pulp out onto knife. Place it into a bowl of cream. Repeat it with other pod. Pour mixture into large bowl. Whisk to combine. Take ice-cream maker and pour the mixture into it. Switch the machine on and churn for roughly 20 minutes till churned is transfer to Tupperware. Place it into a freezer to set. Now vanilla ice-cream is ready to serve. Scoop ice cream into a serving bowl.

Home made Ice-cream:
- 1 1/2 cups whole milk
- 2 1/2 cups heavy cream
- 8 large egg yolks
- cup sugar
- tsp salt
- 1/2 a cup crushed candy canes or hard peppermint candy
Take a medium saucepans, put milk, sugar and salt in it and place it on heat. Make sure sugar and salt completely dissolve. Take a metal bowl, pour the cream into it and set in a larger bowl of ice and set a medium-mesh sieve on top. Take a separate bowl; whisk the cream and egg yolks together. Slowly pour the warm milk into the egg yolks, whisk constantly and scrape the warmed egg yolk back into the saucepan. Mix the mixture constantly over medium heat with a wooden or heatproof rubber spatula, scraping the bottom as you stir, until the mixture thickens and coats the spatula, about 5-7 minutes.
Put the custard through the strainer and stir it into cream. Then mix and cool it over the ice bath. Chill mixture thoroughly in refrigerator. Add peppermint extract, once the mixture is thoroughly chilled, a teaspoon at a time, taste the mixture after each addition until you reach the desired level of peppermint. Freeze your ice cream maker according to the manual, once chilled. The ice cream has been formed in the ice cream maker, will be soft. Fold it in the crushed peppermint candy. Put it in an airtight plastic container and place in freezer to freeze. Do not freeze it for more than two hours, otherwise you will have to wait and let it sit at room temperature before being served.
Make an ice-cream in 5 minutes:
- Flavor like Chocolate, vanilla, or strawberry
Take a bowl, put milk in it add sugar and flavor. Stir it continuously until it is combined well. Pour the liquid in the plastic bag. Fill a bigger plastic bag or a large container with ice. Add salt in the ice and put the little bag in the big one. Shake it for 3 minutes. Now take out the little bag and open it. Your ice cream is ready to serve so enjoy with it.
