Hyundai RB Concept Revealed - Price & Specs

Hyundai RB Concept has been revealed by Hyundai for this year's 2010 Moscow International Motor Show. The RB concept will be made at Hyundai's first full-cycle plant in Saint Petersburg. The RB is a virtually production, which is ready for the Russian market, basically a repackaged Verna/Accent with redesigned bumpers, grille, hood and headlights. Russia will start it in January 2011 and it will go for the market launch in spring of 2011.

The sub-compact sedan, Hyundai RB Concept will come with Hyundai's new 1.6-liter or 1.4-liter Gamma petrol engines with an estimated 124 PS (91 kW / 122 bhp) and 156 Nm (115 lb-ft) and 107 PS (79 kW / 106 bhp) and 135 Nm (100 lb-ft), respectively. A four-speed automatic transmission or a standard five-speed manual will be accessible for both engines. The Hyundai Concept RB takes on the 'fluidic' design philosophy of company and some of the elements that will be carried on the production version include the hexagonal front grille, headlamps and the L shaped fog lights.

In concept RB's large hexagonal front grill, headlamps and "L"-shaped fog lamps, the strong design hints of the production version are highlighted that provide luxurious and exquisite appearances. The sedan promises more power and torque, as well as best-in-class fuel economy by replacing the old Alpha engine with Gamma. The powerful and fuel-efficient Gamma engine will be mated to a four-speed automatic transmission or a standard five-speed manual transaxle.

Styling:

The Nature inspires overall design of the car. In the Hyundai i-Flow, Hyundai Sonata YF and the Hyundai i40, the Fluidic Sculpture Design philosophy is utilized, which earlier were seen. Other features include:-

Swept back headlamps

Engine:

The company will offer two engines for the Russian market that are:-

1.6L DOHC CVVT engine producing a maximum power of 123bhp and 156Nm of maximum torque
An up-rated 1.4L DOHC Gamma engine generating maximum power of 106bhp and maximum torque 135Nm

Transmission:

The car will be offered with either a 5-Speed Manual transmission or a 4-Speed Automatic transmission.
