Today on 23rd June, 2010 Hyundai, one of the India’s largest car makers, Hyundai launched an advanced version of its mid sized sedan Hyundai Verna Transform with price starting from 655, 896 rupees in India. Hyundai Motor India Managing Director and CEO H W Park told reporters, "The Verna Transform is all set to boost Hyundai's already superior line-up of products in India by raising the benchmark in the sedan segment". This new car Hyundai Verna Transform will be available in two variants of 1.6 litre Petrol and 1.5 litre Diesel.
Hyundai Verna is based on the concept of 'large on the inside and compact outside'. Verna has a contemporary automotive design. Verna consists of relatively short bonnet, which gives it a cab-forward stance, and a stubby, notchback-style boot. Hyundai Verna Transform comes with small changes - both exterior and interiors. Changes to the exteriors include a brand new front fascia with more aggressive overall exterior look and is composed of a new trellis, new headlight and new front bumper. Interior changes include new style instrument console, iPod connectivity for new MP3/CD player.
Hyundai stated that Verna Transform will deliver a mileage of 18 kmpl. It is predictable that Hyundai Verna Transform is competing with Ford Fiesta top variants and the upcoming Polo sedan that will be christened as Volkswagen Vento. Redesigned tail-lights and redesigned rear bumper are included in styling changes at rear. Material quality has been upgraded and interior instrumentation lightning has been changed from current green to blue.
Verna Transform’s Engine will be powered by the same 1.6-litre engine with the VTVT (Variable Timing Valve Train) technology. A peak power of 103.2 ps at 5,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 14.9 kgm at 3,000 rpm are also generated by Hyundai. The Verna Transform will offer an improved fuel economy available with 1.6L four-cylinder engine. A green lamp will come on when driving consistently to indicate high fuel efficiency driving, while a red lamp will indicate low fuel efficiency. Verna Transform is available in three engine transmission options namely: 1.5 L CRDi VGT Manual (Two variants – Base and SX), 1.5L CRDi VGT A/T (One variant – SX) and 1.6 L VTVT Manual (Two variants – Base and SX). Hyundai Verna is available in six colors, Blushing Red, Champagne Gold, Crystal White, Sleek Silver, Stone Black and Deep Ocean Blue.
