Now-a-days, Italian and Mexican Foods are getting popularity in India. Italian food is very popular especially in Delhi due to people of Delhi love to have Italian food.
The operator of the Pizza Hut, KFC and Taco Bell restaurant chains, Yum restaurant India will invest USD 100 million to over treble the number of eateries that is 1,000 across the country till 2015. Recently, Mexican fast food brand 'Taco Bell' is introduced in Bangalore by the company. Italian food products, especially the Grana Padano cheese and rice dishes will be promoted in India by an Italian delegation. Diva at Greater Kailash II area and La Piazza in Hyatt Regency are the well-known Italian restaurants in New Delhi.
Italian food in India:
Italian food, Pasta becomes popular and available everywhere in India like 'dhaba food'. Italian food is generally cooked in olive oil. Vegetables, grains, fruits, fish, cheeses and a scattering of meats are combined in Italian food. Pizza, Pasta, Lasagna etc. are some of the popular Italian dishes. Italian food is known to be one of the most popular foods in the world due to regional diversity, and abundance of difference in taste. Italian food varies in different region because of ingredients and dishes vary with region. Espresso Coffee has become important in Italian food.
The delegation did its promotional program in the Oberoi. At the Oberoi, Zucchini baby pie stuffed with cheese and served with pumpkin sauce in the dinner along with a tri-colored risotto selection, rice boiled in red wine, white wine and red bell peppers. The risotto was served with red wine and lots of cheese. After that, chicken meat in saffron sauce with cauliflower pudding becomes the main course. Then a variety of cheese came that is decorated with walnut, honey, and pears. With raisin, walnuts, wine, and vanilla sauce, the dessert was similarly interesting. The delegation has taken part in the Aahar-International Agrifood exhibition, which was held from 8-12 March at the Pragati Maidan trade fair ground Delhi.
Italian food is served in most of the restaurants and Hotels in Delhi with some specific Italian restaurant that are serving quality food such as Little Italy at Defence Colony Market, West View at Maurya Sheraton, Olive near the Qutub Minar, Diva at Greater Kailash Pt.2, San Gimignano at Imperial Hotel and La Piazza at Hyatt Regency. The Big Chill, Khan Market and East of Kailash, is popular for great smoothies, ice creams, cheesecakes and Italian food.
Pasta:
Pasta is made from unleavened dough of wheat or buckwheat flour and water, but sometimes other ingredients like eggs and vegetable extracts are used in making it. Varieties, which are filled with other ingredients like ravioli and tortellini, are included in Pastas. Pasta becomes a part of family traditions from weeknight meals to holiday feasts. Even Sunfeast and Other Snacks companies are selling ready to cook past for the kids.
Chicken Cacciatore:
A classic chicken dish, Chicken Cacciatore is reddish and tomato adds a distinct flavor. The dish includes common spices so it is one of the most famous Italian dishes in India. In Italian, Cacciatore means "hunter". In Italian food, "alla cacciatora" refers to a meal prepared "hunter-style" with mushrooms, tomatoes, onions, herbs, often bell pepper, and sometimes wine.
Mexican Food:
Mexican food, a style of food, originates in Mexico. Mexican food is famous for intense flavors, colorful presentation, unique spicing and ingredients. Main food of Mexico is typically corn and beans. Corn is consumed fresh, on the cob, and as a constituent of numerous dishes. A large number of corns are used in making masa, dough for tamales, tortillas, gorditas and other corn-based foods. In Mexican food, significant roles are played by squash and pepper. Chili powder, cumin, oregano, cilantro, epazote, cinnamon, and cocoa are frequently used in Mexican cuisine.
A smoke-dried jalapeño chili, Chipotle is also common in Mexican food. Garlic and onions are also included in many Mexican foods. After corn, rice is the regular grain in Mexican cuisine. Tomatoes, beans like rajma, onions, etc are used in Indian cooking that are common to Mexican food. A common ingredient in Mexican cuisine, avocado is produced in large number in South India. Mexican food is rich in calories. Tex-Mex, a different variety of Mexican food is popular in the US, and also available in India. Mexican vegetarian dishes are made from raw bananas and vegetables like red pumpkin, green beans, corn, sweet bell peppers and potatoes. But Don't Surprise if you see Indian Ingredients in it. As Indian Restaurants have already Modified Chinese food according to our taste.
Tortillas:
Tortilla is a simple, round flatbread prepared with treated corn flour or white flour and one of the definitive elements of Latin American cuisine. There are many alternate versions without meat in Mexican tortillas but they are usually made with meat to make dishes such as tacos, burritos, and enchiladas.
Tacos:
Tacos will be no.1 mexican food in India with in few years. Because Taco bell are Planning to Open Its franchise in Major Cities of India. Taco is created with a corn or wheat tortilla folded or rolled around a filling. Beef, chicken, seafood, vegetables and cheese are used as filling in making taco to give it great versatility and variety.
Nachos:
Nacho is a well-liked corn based food of Mexican in association with Tex-Mex food. Nacho is tortilla chips or totopos that are covered in melted cheese. Onions, Salsa, Elote, Guacamole, Sour cream, Lettuce, Tomatoes, and Olives, etc. are common additional toppings of Nacho. Nacho is available in varieties that are topped with a layer of refried beans and/or various meats and a layer of shredded cheese.
Enchiladas:
Enchilada is cheese enchilada recipe in which a corn or flour tortilla rolled around a filling and covered with a chili pepper sauce. Meat, cheese, beans, potatoes, vegetables, seafood or combinations are used in filling Enchilada. Enchilada recipe is very easy to make.
Guacamole:
Guacamole is an avocado-based dip, originally from Mexico. Guacamole is prepared by mashing ripe avocados with a molcajete (pestle and mortar) and salt. Tomato, onion, garlic, lime juice or lemon juice are included in some recipes of Guacamole.
