Jade Wolf 2 is one of a new puzzle type platformer action game created by sedition games. Jade Wolf 2 is an openworld platformer - both a tribute to the classic Sonic the Hedgehog games. In this game, you have to help wolf by finding the 6 magical amulets, to restore communication between the cloud palace and Earth.
Player can play this game with the help of various keys like arrow keys, space button, Z key, X key, etc. The up arrow key is for jumping, right arrow key for forward, left key for move backward and the down arrow key is to crouch. You can press Z when your wolf is jumping to make it fly. Controls can be changed by clicking the menu bar but the default one uses the arrow keys for basic movement.
The animation of the game is quiet weak, especially on the black wolf. It seems like a paper doll, and the wall jumps look like a glitch. The jumps in the game are so unreliable and speaking of wall jumps, the programming for that was messy as well. The black wolf character is almost completely unnecessary and feels tacked on. There are ultimately only three places where black wolf it is needed: twice for a feather, and once for a long stretch of the final level.
Jade Wolf 2 Walkthrough:
You need to be jumping to fly.
When you run past a dream-portal, a message will appear: "Press (Talk Button) to Enter Dream." In each of these dream-levels is a magical amulet for you to collect.
Jom: In each shrine are 3 dreamstones…If you collect enough of them, you can change your form! Collect 9, and you can change form at yin-yang monuments…If you can collect all 18, then you are a superwolf…and if you can do that, there’s a secret place that you can go-accessible to only the most capable of wolves…
Jongsaan: our cousin, the golden wolves, lives in a palace in the clouds. But we’ve lost contact with them…That’s why we’ve asked for your help retrieving the 6 golden amulets from the shrines…With their power, we can travel to the clouds, and find out what’s wrong!
There are parts of the game that can only be accessed with the dark wolf's wall jump. You need to find 9 dreamstones (in the dream levels) to be able to change character.
To gain extra flying time, you need to find 9 Phoenix Feathers (idea came from NG user, tehsticklord... I was going to make the Phoenix a playable character, but the game was getting too big. Next time, perhaps...).
If something is blocking your way, search for a switch...
Check your progress and playing time in the Stats screen - accessible from the Pause menu. Press P to access it.
