16 Wishes premiere was held on the Disney Channel on Friday evening, 25 June 2010 at 8 p.m. ET/PT. Jean Luc Bilodeau caught with Debby Ryan on the pink carpet premiere of 16 Wishes, which was held on Tuesday, June 22 evening at Harmony Gold Theater, Los Angeles. Debby Ryan came with two special guests, Her older brother Chase Ryan and her dog Presley at the event of 22 June. Her brother has a minor role in the TV movie. Chloe Bridges, Alyson Stoner, Nicole Anderson, Joey King, and Ashley Argota were present to the pink carpet.
About Chase's cameo, Debby said, "A little set secret, while you're looking around Abby's room in the movie, the director heard that Chase was a singer and he saw the videos of us So, he suggested that we put pictures of Chase Ryan, the singer all around Abby's room like she's a fan of Chase Ryan. You have to look really carefully...his album cover is on the wall. It's actually in the trailer too." Jean-Luc shared with us about his character, “He’s just a really nice, charming, good guy. He’s Abby’s best friend and he’s the one she always goes to. Jay’s the fall back for all her problems and she kind of takes him for granted a bit. But slowly, through the story, you see Jay’s underlying feelings for Abby surface. He’s a good guy.” Debby chimed in, “Everything that Abby gets caught up in, Jay’s always the voice of reason for her. He’s the practical one in their relationship. A good balance.”
"16 Wishes" is about the story of Abby Jensen, ), a teenager who can’t wait to grow up. Once he gets a mysterious box of magical birthday candles, which turn things around. With this magical box, Abby's 16 Wishes begin to come true. Her day gets better and better until she makes one wish that threatens to change everything.
