Karnataka Examination Authority releases Karnataka CET (Common Entrance Test) Results on their official website www.kea.kar.nic.in every year. Students can check Karnataka CET results online on website by just entering exam seat number.
Karnataka CET is competitive entrance examination for admission of various undergraduate medical, dental, engineering, architecture courses in the colleges and universities in Karnataka. There are so many students take part in Karnataka CET Exam. At 228 centers across the state, CET of Karnataka will be arranged. In the month February KEA issues application forms of CET every year. Candidates can also apply for CET online from the website of Karnataka CET.
Karnataka CET examination includes four subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology & Mathematics. For admission in engineering courses, CET candidates look for Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics exams. For admission in medical or dental courses, CET candidates look for Physics, Chemistry and Biology exams.
Karnataka CET examination forms are available in schools and colleges of the Karnataka CET. The outer candidates of Karnataka can be received the Karnataka CET Application form by post from KEA through sending a Demand Draft with the request for form. The results of Karnataka CET are issued after one or two month of exam in every year.
Eligibility for engineering courses:
The candidate should have passed Karnataka 2nd PUC/12th Std. or equivalent exam with Physics and Mathematics and also with optional subjects like Chemistry, Bio-Technology, Computer Science, Electronics, Biology with English as one of the languages of study. For general category candidates are eligible up to 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subject in the CET examination. The Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST) and Other Backward Classes (OBC) candidates are eligible up to 40% marks for the CET.
Eligibility Architecture course:
The candidates should have passed Karnataka 2nd PUC / 12th Std. or equivalent exam with a compulsory optional subject Mathematics. The general candidates are eligible minimum 50% marks in aggregate in all the subjects in the qualifying examination and should compulsorily appear for NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture) and also get a minimum of 40% marks. The Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST) and Other Backward Classes (OBC) candidates are eligible at least 45% marks in aggregate in all the subjects in the qualifying examination and 35% marks in NATA.
Eligibility for Medical / Dental courses:
The candidates should have passed Karnataka 2nd PUC / 12th std. or equivalent exam with optional subjects such as Physics, Chemistry and Biology and with English as one of the languages of study. The general candidates are eligible minimum 50% marks in aggregate in the PCB group in the CET. The Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST) and Other Backward Classes (OBC) candidates are eligible minimum 40% marks in aggregate in PCB group both in qualifying examination and CET.
Eligibility Ayurveda / Homoeopathy / Unani / Naturopathy & Yoga courses:
The candidates should have passed Karnataka 2nd PUC / 12th Std. or equivalent exam with optional subjects such as Physics, Chemistry and Biology and with English as one of the languages of study. The general candidates are eligible minimum 50% marks in aggregate in the PCB group in the CET. The Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST) and Other Backward Classes (OBC) candidates are eligible minimum 40% marks in aggregate in PCB group both in qualifying examination and CET.
For Medical, Dental, Ayurveda, Homoeopathy, Unani, Naturopathy & Yoga courses, the candidate should have completed the age of 17 years as on 31st of December of the year of examination.
