In Thailand, Krung Thai Bank Public Company Limited is the second-largest bank. The company embraces assets worth approximately US$28 billion and maintains a branch network of over 500 domestic branches and 12 international locations, containing Hong Kong, Tokyo, and Taipei. Krung Thai Bank Public Company Limited is headquartered in the Watthana district of Bangkok. The Thai government established Krung Thai Bank in 1966 by the merger of Agricultural Bank and Provincial Bank, with the Finance Ministry as the main shareholder. Another bank, Siam Bank, was dissolved and its assets transferred to Krung Thai Bank in 1987. For the first time, the company's shares were listed on the Stock Exchange of Thailand in 1989. Thai Financial Institutions Development Fund (FIDF) is the largest shareholder of the bank by holding 56 percent of all shares as of April 2005. Since the Ministry of Finance and the Bank of Thailand have controlled FIDF, Krung Thai Bank effectively remains under state control.

For logging in, visit www.ktb.co.th and click on “KTB online” option and click on continue. Enter your User ID, password and click on “login” option. If you have forgotten your password, then there is “forgot your password” option is available. New customers have to go for registration. For that, enter your ATM/Visa Election card number (16 digits, KTC credit card is not allowed, ATM pin (4 digits), identification card then click on “submit” option.
