Lotus Elite DB9 is 2+2 seater, a stunning piece of engineering and design. It has Kinetic Energy Recovery System (KERS) that will be the third front-engined model in Lotus's 52-year history to use the revered ‘Elite’ name. Under the head of Donato Coco, the new Lotus Elite is planned. It is 10cm shorter than the Aston but the most important difference between the two cars comes in the form of the CO2 emissions: the Elite is predicted to cough out just 215g/km of CO2, a massive 40 per cent less than the DB9.
The car got dramatic style and shows a new styling direction for the Norfolk-based manufacturer. Elite is powered by a 5.0-liter V8 engine with 612bhp (456 kW / 620PS) and 720 Nm (531 lbft) of torque. Lotus anticipates 1,650kg (3,638 lb) car will accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 3.5 to 3.7 seconds and hit a top speed of 315 km/h (196 mph).
If cost of the car will more than £100,000 and has 600+bhp, then the Esprit must be a genuine Ferrari 458 rival with parallel power but greatly lower weight and outrageous looks. The car will deliver 402kw and a go-faster "R" version about 456kW and 720Nm. Features of car include Aluminium and carbon fibre, changeable vehicle architecture chassis, and double-wishbone suspension.
Elite makes an unbelievable 612-hp at 531 ft-lbs of torque. The cope will be entering in the market in 2014; it is an innovative, exciting GT that will set a new benchmark in design, performance and emissions. Lotus CEO says about the car that it would be “a car of perfect contradictions: compact yet spacious, high performing yet low emitting, lightweight yet still reassuringly solid."
