The world’s most controversial as well as dangerous zoo, Lujan Zoo is situated at approximately 50 miles from Beunos Aires, Argentina. Lujan Zoo of Argentina is very famous as the visitors are permitted to interact with all animals whether it is rabbit or lion.
The people, who want to visit the zoo, have to pay $7 as an entrance fee. The zoo opened on 24 November, 1994. Too much collection of animals was not found at the initial stage of zoo. When the zoo was opened for public its animal’s collection include two ponies, two donkeys, a monkey, some deer, flames and peacocks, and couple of lions. The collection of animals has been expanded by including blackbirds, swaps, etc as the time goes.
Zoo contain those animals, who are unlawfully brought in the country, ignored by the parents or their owners after growing up, according to the declaration made by the founders of the zoo. Freedom is given to visitors to touch the animals; this facility of the zoo makes it unique as well as dangerous zoo in the world. Visitors can visit the whole zoo through ride of small train.
People can enjoy the ride of various animals such as feed cheetahs, lion, stroke tigers, and cuddle bears. They are permissible to enter in the cages of animals by paying $50 and signing in the paper saying that the zoo does not take any responsibility if you get injured, damaged or even you are eaten by the animals. Visitors are allowed to lift up the animals and creatures at their own risk.
The authority does not give any age limit to enter in the cage; it means children are also permitted to enter in the cages of any animals including lion also. However, the fact is that creatures rarely harm the visitors. Besides, the death of tourist is not recorded in the history of this zoo. Thus, many tourists are attracted and excited to visit Lujan Zoo. Lots of tourists from every corner of world and local visitors make a trip at the zoo every year.
The zoo became the center of many controversies from the initial stage as the free animals may prove dangerous to visitors. Some authorities such as Animal Protection Charity, The Born Free Foundation have tried to close the zoo as more risk of animals is associated with visitors and it is unsafe for the guests. No matter that the zoo is surrounded by many controversies yet many people come to feed on animals at Lujan Zoo.
The amazing feature dedicated to this zoo is that the animals can enjoy their life from birth to end with humans at here. Recently, the creatures collection contain more than 12 cougars, 50 copies of African lions, 20 Bengal tigers, compared to its beginning collection.
The Born Free Foundation has warned the visitors not to visit this zoo by issuing the statement. CEO of the Born Free Foundation, Will Travers said, “Based on what I have seen displayed on the Lujan Zoo website, I am fearful that a terrible accident is going to happen.”
