These days Item girl Maria Gopez is being popular because of her hot song in the movie Teen Patti. “Teri niyat kharab hai” is a hot song of Teen Patti. After Item song of Maria Gopez creating buzz, who instantly left for Brazil. Some bollywood producers were calling for getting contact number of Maria Gopez to Leena Yadav who is producer of Teen Patti.

Maria Gopez says, “I think there’s a deep spiritual connection between Brazil and India and a bit of the golden glow that is common to our skin tones”.

While as item girl, Maria says no to be dubbed. She says, “I look at the Neeyat number as my debut because I consider it a proper performance as opposed to being just a dance number.” She added, “Despite the fact that it’s only a dance, the song presented me as a distinct character. That’s also a reason I have managed to make a mark with the song.”

Maria Gopez is model of Brazil. She jokes that she thinks after having spent excellence time in India, she is “half Indian” now. While director Yadav feels that Maria creates Salma Hayek’s vibes, she admits being “thrilled to be part of such a gargantuan film”. Yadav and Neeyat choreographer Ashley Lobo selected Maria Gopez out of fifty wannabe item girls for the song.

In the first audition, Maria Gopez was asked to interpret the song in her style. She says, “I was told that they wanted the song to be dynamic but most importantly the filmmakers wanted me to use my sexuality in a powerful manner. Ashley Lobo worked a lot on my body language. I had a woman director and knew that come what may this song would look absolutely right. The song has been a learning experience in the sense it taught me that I am an actress primarily and would love to do interesting roles.
