On Thursday, Mark Chow Yee Sze was convicted of molesting a 27 years old woman at a downtown pub on Jan 10, 2007 after a trial. She was a former operations manager of a pub three years ago.
On January 9, 2007, the lady felt unwell before she started work and she took some drinks then went up to the office to take rest on the sofa.
According to Reports, the woman blamed that Mark Chow touching her breast, claves and buttocks. But Mark’s lawyer said that he was trying to wake her up. Mark Chow is a member of YPAP of Pasir Ris-Punggol South. He was also nominated for Spirit of Enterprise Awards.
Mark’s lawyer said that Mark has some mental disorders. During the trial in the court, closed circuit television was shown about what Mark did in the office. But Mark’s defense said that he was trying to wake her up.
Lawyer also added "We do treat accused persons with mental problems with a little bit more compassion and leniency than we do in other instances”.
The lady was accused that he was tickling her right palm, patting her head, stroking her left cheek, left arm and the outside of her left thigh, grabbing her hands and left calf, and patting her buttocks.
Mark’s lawyer said that Mark suffers from mental problems and treated by Changi General Hospital psychiatrist.
To allow the prosecution to address the issues rose in Chow's medical report, District Judge Sarjit Singh deferred sentencing to April 1. Former model as well as actor Mark Chow will be sentenced on April 1 faces a jail for two years or caning, or any two of the punishments.
