Michigan Wolverines Football Schedule has announced for 2011. The 2011 football match will be played from 3rd September 2011 to 26th November 2011. Schedule of Wolverines contains eight home games, including four non-league games at Michigan Stadium. The 2011 season will be started by Michigan at home against Western Michigan, Notre Dame, Eastern Michigan and San Diego State before a bye week. Then the Big Ten season will be started by Wolverines at Wisconsin before hosting Indiana, Minnesota, Illinois and Ohio State.
The University of Michigan represents the Michigan Wolverines football program in college football at the NCAA Division I Football Bowl Subdivision (formerly Division I-A) level. Michigan has the most all-time wins and the maximum winning percentage of all-time. The team is also famous for its distinctive winged helmet, its record-breaking attendance figures, its fight song, and its many rivalries, particularly its annual season-ending game against Ohio State, voted as ESPN's best sports rivalry.
In 1879, Michigan started competing in intercollegiate football. Members of the Big Ten Conference, Wolverines have won or shared 42 league titles, more than any other football program in any conference. Michigan has completed in the top 10 a record 37 times, since the inception of the AP Poll in 1936. Rich Rodriguez is their current head coach.
