The next huge update to Windows Phone will be codenamed “Mango” and officially debuted as Microsoft Phone 7.5 as per some text on the Microsoft’s partner website as well as shown through a slide presentation by Microsoft at the greatly successful MIX11 event this month in Las Vegas. Currently Microsoft is hard at work on its next key release of Windows Phone, “Mango” which is predictable to be released this autumn.
Microsoft told at the MIX11 conference that Windows Phone 7.5 will comprise support for Kinect-like motion sensing through a phone’s camera. Enhanced multitasking and application-switching, in addition background audio and file transfers will be also supported by the next version. Mango includes multitasking, Internet Explorer 9 mobile and Twitter incorporation at present. Microsoft is even forecasting to enlarge on developer opportunities for Windows Phone and the company will spread out soon its marketplace to around 35 countries, which seems a damn sight more remarkable than the existing figure of 16. The Windows Phone 7.5 OS party will also be joined by the big name apps such as Amazon, Skype and Spotify.
Corporate Vice President of Windows Phone Marketing, Achim Berg said that the imminent changes in “Mango” are portion of a platform release. The ultimate branding for the release has not been confirmed by the Berg however recommended that the changes are huge enough to warrant a new release and point augmentation. As per some analysts, though Microsoft told at Mix 11 that it will be obtainable before the end of the year at least to developers we perhaps won’t spot the update until 2012 at the earliest. The smartphone OS will be altered by the update into somewhat more in line with its competition because it sets up multi-tasking and support background apps, deeper incorporation of apps with the phone, developer access to the phone's hardware and additional features, superior Live Tiles, a new version of IE9 and enhanced marketplace search.
