If the production will continue then more changes will not be seen in body style of 2012 Dodge Avenger from the last edition because previous model was updated with many changes. Interior and exterior got new designs with V6 engine, which has ability to deliver 283 horsepower. It has many safety features like 4-wheel ABS, side curtain air bags, accident response system, all wheel drive, multi-stage front airbags, electronic stability including traction control and break assist, tire pressure monitoring system and many more.

Toyota, Kia Optima and Ford Fusion will be the competitor of 2012 Dodge Avenger. All the cars of the above companies come in the price range of $ 20,000 to $ 30,000. They all have standard V6 engine that gives 180hp performance. 260hp performance is given by Camry and Fusion but the highest performance is 283hp from Avenger. All the cars have auto-manual and six-speed manual with overdrive excluding Kia that has five speeds manual.

At the initial stage of 1995 to 2000 Dodge Avenger had been produced as 2-door car. It was re-exposed as a 4-door medium size sport car in 2008. Avenger has made many efforts to get place in the market. Avenger wants driver-friendly edition and be a sportier therefore Avenger shares its strategy with Chrysler Sebring. Acquisition of Chrysler is made by Fiat Group and it will permit production of Sebring and Dodge Avenger up to the end of 2012. Chrysler has confirmed that new Dodge Avenger 2012 will be Fiat-based car in the United States. Avenger came with many new systems including navigation system, Sirius Satellite, MyGIG, rear-seat video system, incorporated music jukebox plan to differentiate its car from others.
