The March Madness bracket list for NIT Basketball Tournament 2010 has been released on espn.go.com. For the 2010 NIT (National Invitation Tournament), the University of Connecticut men’s basketball team has chosen to the field of 32. The National Invitation Tournament (NIT) chooses 32 teams in college basketball after the NCAA Tournament is selected each year. On 1 April 2010, 32 teams will compete for the championship round at the Madison Square Garden. For many colleges’ basketball teams those were not able to create it into the NCAA Basketball Tournament Bracket itself this will be a chance to shine.

Generally, these 32 teams include big-name schools in an attempt to get TV ratings as fairness and choosing teams that deserve to carry on their seasons seldom comes into play with the NIT selection committee. An independent organization, which favored the local New York schools, runs the NIT. NIT scores & the NIT schedule will be provided after the teams and brackets have been announced, all the way through the NIT Championship.
