Thanks to Student portal that perfectly satisfy these demands and perform as a bridge of communication amongst students, faculties, colleges and industries. No doubt, NTU (Nanyang Technological University) is very reputed university around the world. It is offering one-stop user-centric Intranet Portal for NTU community (students, staff and faculty) for accessing huge data and services of university like eLearning, email, important news & announcements, and educational & program e-services. StudentLink Portal is a great way for NTU students to get registration for courses, check examination timetables and results, update their particulars and raise service requests without standing in a long queue at a college.

NTU always try to give best services to their students and to just follow this purpose - it has offered web portal service for achieving best of communication levels and avail global exposure to their students. Student portal allows both students and faculties for creating and maintaining their own Webpages.

With 58th position in the list of world’s top universities, NTU is going to achieve top position by offering several online services including student portal, which contain information on offered courses, timetables, exam schedules, transcripts, email programs and department contact numbers. Student portal may also offer some useful resources like research tools and online journals.

Using an online portal in place of printed information in booklets can save printing and paper costs of schools and colleges. With e-Portal, college community can access important information from anywhere at anytime. It also makes it easier for colleges and universities to give significant information and necessary updates to a vast number of students on time. Education department can also use portal for connecting students directly to educational resources for fun and learning.

The two main user accounts - network account and Windows live account are necessary for receiving benefits of all NTU e-services which need user logon or authentication. No need of online registration for creating network account and Windows live account because it is issued for each student by NTU at the time of course registration.

New students have to select their username at the time of online acceptance of offer (except exchange and non-graduating students) and in the form JAMES007, while initial password is set automatically to the Matriculation number with all alphabets in upper-case. Exchange and non-graduation student does not need to create username and password year by year because in the next year their Matriculation number will become their username and birth-date will become their password. To access NTU e-service, you have to login in network account with username and password. With the NTU network account, you can access iNTU Intranet portal, e-Learning portal, StudentLink and GSLink e-services, Library databases, campus network and computers.

No need of waiting for a long time period for account activation, because it is activated within 1 working day after receiving of offer online. But you can access StudentLink/GSLink services only after you have matriculated online. Before using any e-services, new students have to change their password instantly.

How to change network account password?

1, Open https://pwd.ntu.edu.sg

2, Select domain name either student or faculty

3, Type your network account number, old password, and new password that you want with at least 8 and maximum 16 characters

4, You have to also re-confirm new password and click on 'Change now' button

With Windows live account, students can access email-box. You can access Windows live account with username of network account and first password is set to the Matriculation number of the student. Here also new students have to change this password at the time of first time login to Windows live. Generally, it is activated within 1 working day after the approval of network account username online.

How to change Windows live account password?

1, Access http://home.live.com

2, Type in your network account username as Windows live ID

3, As soon as you login to the Windows live network, you will be prompted to change your Windows LIVE password

Through the NTU Portal service, students can access NTU courses schedules and registration, online course material through edveNTUre, NTU online library with eJournals, databases and exam papers, NTU podcasts of lectures. You can also easily and quickly get NTU news, campus events and activities and important announcements.

NTU e-Portal Mobile registration guidelines:

There are total 3 services to use NTU service on mobile phone including through internet connected mobile phone, NTUmobile application and NTU e-mail.

1, With internet enabled mobile phone or PDA and WIFI enabled device, you can access NTU Student link, GSlink or Stafflink e-Service.

2, Just by downloading NTUmobile application through http://mobile.ntu.edu.sg on your smartphone or PDA, you can login to NTU Network Account.

3, You can also set up your mobile device to access your Windows LIVE email and NTU exchange email.

Overall, NTU student portal service is really beneficial; students can update their postal addresses and phone number during term time electronically via StudentLINK. They can also note all important notices based on course registration, student matters, etc. You are also able to upload DOC format resumes and documents/JPEG format photos.
