Olympus VH-410: Specs of touchscreen Compact Digital Camera

With the Olympus VH-410, shooting beautiful images and videos is as effortless as blinking. The VH-410 comes with an advanced iAUTO function that automatically takes care of all the details by determining the camera mode that best suits a particular situation. The best possible camera mode is determined on the basis of data analysis from 29 scenes according to a variety of combinations of ‘subject’ x ‘light’ x ‘situation’. This feature makes sure that the user can shoot with confidence, even with prospects that are difficult to set up, like the scenes with backlighting or night scenes. This allows capturing both photos and videos in high quality.

The touchscreen Autofocus and shutter function make shooting a one-touch easy task. Just touch the desired subject on the screen and the device will automatically focus on it and discharge the shutter. The photographer just needs to decide what to shoot. The 16 MP CCD sensor and the HD movie recording function help recording high quality photos and videos.

The stylish device with bright colors also composes a wide range of fun features to make the shooting enjoyable. Through the Beauty mode feature, the camera makes the skin look smooth and unblemished. It detects the face of the subject and replicates the skin by giving it a smooth and unblemished tenor. It is helpful for portrait photography and has 19 effects available to use including ‘Make-Up’ and ‘Eye Effect’. For this mode, the image size should be less than 5 MB. The Magic Filters include a wide range of cool and easy to use special effects that allow adding an impressive look to the images and videos. These filters add a magic touch to the images. All you need to do is select a filter as per the effect you want in your image.

The Olympus VH-410 can cover a wide range from 26 mm wide angle to 5X optical zoom. With an extensive shooting area, the whole picture can be clicked easily. The 5X optical zoom brings the user closer to the subject without deteriorating the image. The DUAL image stabilization feature enables to click steady and stable images. A macro function allows dramatic imaging of minute subjects. The camera can shoot any type of scene from group photos to close-ups and macro shooting. The macro feature allows shooting from as close as 5 cm, ensuring clear and detailed pictures of small subjects such as flowers and insects.

The device is compatible with SD/SDHC/SDXC cards and Eye-Fi cards. Eye-Fi cards are SDHC memory cards composed of an internal wireless LAN.
