The Government of Singapore has launched the OneMap official website www.onemap.sg on 31st March, 2010. The website is provided by Singapore Land Authority (SLA). OneMap service allows development of web based map services through the use of an API (Application Programming Interface). Reporters said that OneMap is Singapore’s own version of Google Maps. It is used for public agencies, Business, Individuals, or Community groups to get information and innovative applications to add.

Now you can find your locations by using this intelligent map search option. People now get easily the location information about food, shops, Health, Sports and landmarks in and around their community. OneMap provide reliable, timely and accurate location-based information to the public. Singapore Geospatial Collaborative Environment is one of the bigger parts of OneMap.

OneMap services and content offered by biggest 16 government agencies including, Ministry of Law, National Parks, Ministry of Education, NLB, iDA Singapore, MCYS, National Heritage Board, National Arts Council Singapore, Land Transport Authority, Singapore Land Authority, People’s Association, National parks, Singapore Tourism Board, and Ministry of Information. The Government of the Singapore also declared the OneMap platform; it will be a source of innovation for the public, business and general.
