Megan McAllister is a medical student at Boston University. 26-year-old, Megan McAllister engaged to the suspected Craigslist Killer Philip Markoff, 22. Philip Markoff is well-known as Philip Haynes Markoff. Phil Markoff and Megan McAllister were medical students in Boston at the time of their engagement. Philip Haynes Markoff is originally from Sherrill, New York.
On 20th April, 2009 Markoff was arrested and charged with the murder of 26-year-old Julissa Brisman and attacking a prostitute at a Boston hotel. He is suspected to have shot her to death at the Marriott Copley Hotel on 14th April, 2009. On April 21, 2009, the day after Markoff's arrest, McAllister told ABC News that the public was misled and said that a "police officer in Boston (or many) is trying to make big bucks by selling this false story to the TV stations." Megan McAlister protected Markoff shortly after his arrest.
On August 14, 2009 McAllister had said that she plans to get marry. After one year of his marriage, on Sunday 15th August, 2010 Mark committed suicide in prison Nashua Street at 10:17 am local time and found dead. Markoff reportedly slashed his wrists and then tied the fabric around the neck before bedtime.
"Markoff was alone in his cell and all evidence collected thus far indicates that he took his own life," a statement said. "Nonetheless, as with all such cases, a comprehensive investigation will be conducted to determine the facts and circumstances surrounding his death."
Megan McAllister, Philip Markoff fiancée is standing up for him publicly. She sent an email to ABC Good Morning America asserting his innocence. In the message, which was read during the broadcast of the morning program, she said, “Unfortunately you were given wrong information as was the public,” McAllister wrote in the e-mail “All I have to say to you is Philip is a beautiful person inside and out and could not hurt a fly! A police officer in Boston (or many) is trying to make big bucks by selling this false story to the TV stations. What else is new?? Philip is an intelligent man who is just trying to live his life so if you could leave us alone we would greatly appreciate it. We expect to marry in August and share a wonderful, meaningful life together.”
In another interview, Megan McAllister said, ‘I will stand by Philip as I know he is innocent. Philip is a beautiful man inside and out,’ McAllister said in a message to a reporter on a social networking Web site. ‘He is intelligent, loyal, and the best fiancée a woman could ask for. He would not hurt a fly!’
