Pix’n Love Rush is a forthcoming retro-inspired platformer from French developer Bulkypix and Pastagames. The new Pix'n Love Rush features with 125 levels and number of game modes and sections which are visually inspired by the Virtual Boy.
The game includes just running left and right, jumping, shooting, and collecting coins from its series of 125 randomly mixed levels in Time Attack Mode. The main tagline “Move, Jump, and Shoot,” are masters keys for collecting coins. There is also something with longer sessions called “God of the Infinite Mode.”
You will take the visuals changes as you play the game through 7 different graphical styles. And while some of them feel single and original, others are a loving tribute to portable systems of days gone by. From 7 different styles, one style takes on the strong red lines of Nintendo’s ill-fated Virtual Boy and another offers green tint and monochrome visuals of the original Game Boy, full with Mario-inspired backgrounds.
Xbox Live Indie Game Pixel Veterans may notice similarity in the design of the character because Pix’n Love Rush is being handled by the same developers, Pastagames. Despite the visual similarity Rush is confidently not an iPhone version of Pixel. Both games share the ‘big pixels’ look, and the ‘platformer’ game play. Both games finish line is totally same, no puzzle, no zoom into the pixels and no adventure.
