“Raajneeti” is an upcoming movie which directed and written by Prakash Jha. The movie starring with Ranbir Kapoor, Arjun Rampal, Ajay Devgan, Katrina Kaif, Nana Patekar, Manoj Bajpai and Vivek Oberoi. The story of the film “Raajneeti” is based upon Indian politics. Ronnie Screwvala is the producer of the film. On June 4, 2010, the film is going to be release in theaters.

In the film, Katrina Kaif plays a leading role as a minister and her personality looks like Sonia Gandhi. Both, Ranbir Kapoor and Ajay Devgan play the role of leader in the film. About the story of the film:

The story of the film is about some people who power the luck of the billions of people in India. The story is about the people who understand power and know how to use it. It is the story about Bhaskar Sanyal (Nasreruddin Shah), the troublemaker leftist leader. He is feared for his single-handed aptitude to challenge the most powerful of leaders as he was appreciated for his political honesty. In the film, Sooraj (Ajay Devgan) belong from the backward class- with irritation in his heart and leadership on his mind. But still, his luck could never change the tragedy of his birth, trapping him in an awful problem where his loyalty to his friend threatens to destroy his own family. While the Brij Gopal (Nana Patekar), who shirked every political ambition. While the battle got bloodier by the day, he continued to guide and direct the younger generation of leaders. Veerendra Pratap (Manoj Bajpai), whose lunge at the throne was thwarted even as he was within striking distance of it. The story of the film is also about an ordinary woman Indu Pratap (Katrina) who fights against corruption to the day which becoming the prime minister. While shooting the movie, Prakash Jha has appreciated Katrina Kaif obligation and professionalism.

First “Raajneeti” was denied a censor certificate by the censor board of India because they think that the lead character of Katrina Kaif in the film which is inspired by the Congress Party’s Chief Sonia Gandhi. But later, Prakash Jha, a director of the film explained that only inspiration he has taken in the film from Mahabharta- an epic from ancient India. Before giving the film a U/A censor certificate, there are some scenes and excessive violence were also removed.
