Royal Jordanian (RJ) is the national carrier of Jordan and its head office is situated at Queen Alia International Airport (AMM), Amman. RJ operates its scheduled international services over four continents from its main base at Queen Alia International Airport at Amman (AMM) Jordan. Royal Jordanian is a member of the Arab Air Carriers Organization and Oneworld, the global airline alliance.

On 9 November 2006, Royal Jordanian won the 'Centre for Asia Pacific Aviation' award for "Airline Turnaround of the Year 2006". With at least 110 daily departures, the airline operates more than 500 flights per week. The company was able to buy its acronym and IATA code "RJ" as an Internet address, RJ.com in 2005. Air Finance Journal voted "Airline of the Year 2007" to Royal Jordanian. Vision of Royal Jordanian is to be the Airline of choice connecting Jordan and the Levant with the world.

Mission of Royal Jordanian is to ensure that its customers will always recommend its airline because they consistently provide the highest and stimulation level of safe, secure and reliable air transportation, a seamless travel experience with exceptional customer care, and value for money through maintaining cost efficiency. Royal Jordanian was founded on 9 December 1963. After a royal decree by the late King Hussein, it started operations on 15 December 1963.

A number of destinations across four continents, which includes Asia, Europe, Africa and North America, are covered by Royal Jordanian Airlines. In Asia, the airline provides services to China, India (to Delhi and Mumbai), Sri Lanka, Thailand, Bahrain, Iraq, Israel, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, United Arab Emirates and Yemen. The airline covered European countries such as United Kingdom, Ukraine, Turkey, Greece, Germany, France, Cyprus, Switzerland, Spain, Russia, Netherlands, Italy, Belgium and Austria.

The airline flies to Canada and United States in North America. 30 aircrafts, namely Embraer E-195-200 AR, Embraer E-175, Airbus A340-600 Prestige, Airbus A340-200, Airbus A321-200, Airbus A320-200, Airbus A319-100 and Airbus A310-300 are consisted in the fleet of Royal Jordanian Airlines. Check in at RJA is an accomplished comfortably and swiftly service. People can speedily checked-in due to its customer service agent. People need to arrive at the area of the RJA check-in, JFK three hours before the flight.

People face many problems such as an eternally spiraling line of people with luggage of monstrous proportions but Customer service agent of RJA helps people to jump the queue. RJA contains an inefficient boarding strategy and a full flight because of this, there was a bottleneck at the entrance to the airplane. In flight, headphone sets were distributed after the punctual departure. With ‘distance to destination’ and ‘estimated time of arrival’ updates, the moving map display is helpful.

Each passenger is provided with blanket and pillow to sleep. When airplane takeoff, passengers are served with alcoholic drink, non-alcoholic drinks, fish and chicken dishes with the usual bread roll, salad, and small dessert. After the late night meal, coffee and tea is provided to passengers. Snazzy uniforms of the staff, Good service & prices are the good things about it. Passengers feel lack of entertainment due to lots of disinterested staff, and uncaring staff, repeated delays, un-cleaned aircraft, and the poor food according to some travelers.
