Rajasthan Pre Engineering Entrance Test (RPET) had been conducted for admission in first year of B.Tech./B.E. by Board of Technical Education Rajasthan in May, 2010. The result has also been declared on July 3, 2010. Now, RPET Counselling 2010 will be hold by Rajasthan Secondary Board of Education in the month of July, 2010. According to the given RPET Rank, Student will get the admission into engineering college.

Shashikant Singhi, director, Poornima Group of Colleges said, "Nowadays students are well informed. They select colleges on the basis of placement record, infrastructure and location in RPET counselling 2010."

According to counselor, this year students are giving preference to core subjects like civil, mechanical and electrical. Nirmal Panwar, vice- chancellor, Mahatma Jyoti Rao Phoole University said, "There will not be a blind race among students for popular branches in RPET counselling 2010."

During the current year there have 66,000 students appeared for RPET counselling 2010 for 25,000 seats available in different engineering colleges in Rajasthan. Colleges are offering maximum number of seats in computer science RPET counselling 2010. RPET Counselling 2010 related information is not yet declared by Rajasthan Education Board. This year, RPET Counseling 2010 may have only 1st and 2rd Phase. Then if seats will be available, then RPET Counselling 2010 3rd Phase will be held.

Eligibility for RPET Online Counselling:

As per following order of eligibility criteria, the candidates can eligible for admission:

• RPET-2010 appeared Candidates who have been allotted in 1st or 2nd counseling but did not report
• RPET-2010 appeared Candidates who have registered in REPT-2010 counseling but were not allotted any seat in 1st and 2nd counseling (Non-allotted list of 1019 candidates is available on RTU websites http://www.rtu.ac.in/rpet and http://rtuadmissions.nic.in)

When Option Form is filled up, deposit it at the following centers (Date and time is not yet decided for RPET 2010 Counselling):

• Govt. Polytechnic College (Ajmer , Alwar , Bharatpur , Bikaner , Chittorgarh , Banswara , Badmer)
• Khaitan Polytechnic College (JAIPUR , JODHPUR , KOTA , PALI , SAWAIMADHOPUR , SRI GANGANAGAR , SIROHI CHURU , SIKAR)
• Vidhyabhavan Polytechnic Udaipur
• Birla Technical Training Institute Pilani
• Govt. Girls Polytechnic Jaipur , Sanganer , Udaipur

At the time of depositing option form, following documents are required:

• D.D. of Rs. 10,000/- in the name of coordinator, RPET 2009 payable at Jodhpur
• Attested Photocopy of 12th Mark Sheet
• If Reservation Category 1(Sc, St, Non Creamy Layer Obc) then related document`s attested copy. If Reservation Category 2(Exs1, Exs2, Exs3, Exs4, Km, Ph) then related document`s attested copy
• If candidate has lost his option form then he/she can take duplicate option form from above centers at payment of Rs. 200/-
