On Wednesday 4th August 2010, Consumer Reports Senior Director of the magazine's Consumer Reports Automotive Test Center in East Haddam, Connecticut David Champion was on the CBS Early Show . He has sharing advice on choosing the best car for teens as well as seniors on that morning. He suggested the Mazda 3, Honda Accord for teens and the Suburu Forrester, Hyundai Azera, Honda Accord for seniors, in an interview with CBS News.
David Champion said "Often parents think that putting their child in the biggest car is the safest thing they can do, but that's not so. Teens are the most inexperienced drivers on the road, so you want to make sure they're driving something that handles well, is agile and has as many safety features as possible--especially electronic stability control."
In addition to naming good cars for teens and seniors, Consumer Reports featured picks for young, old, tall, and small drivers in the September 2010 issue. In the Consumer Reports' lists, all the models have at least average reliability and are recommended vehicles.
According to the Consumer Reports, “only Honda Accord is suitable for the young, old, tall and small drivers” David Champion added "When it comes to finding the right cars for seniors, we recommend vehicles that offer easy access, good visibility, a roomy driving position and comfortable seats,"
