Sagging Neck Exercises to Stop Skin Aging

On aging, human body under goes lots of changes with respect to appearance and health. Aging causes the skin to lose its elasticity and also it slows down collagen production. It resulted in the formation of wrinkles and sagging skin. The signs of aging are started to show from the area underneath the chin. Sagging neck skin is easily noticeable and it also becomes more apparent following weight loss. Double chin or Turkey neck can also be created due to increased body weight or unexpected weight loss. Sagging neck skin looks very unsightly and makes you look older but exercise to tighten the muscles on the neck can help to firm up the area somewhat.

The neck is composed of a complex network of muscles and tendons that are associated to the jaw and facial muscles. These neck muscles can be compacted and toned through exercise just like any other muscle in the body. The biggest causes of sagging around the neck and chest area are lack of exercise, gravity, and sun damage. Sagging skin can be embarrassing and so people look for ways to tighten their skin. You should immediately take steps to improve the condition as you see signs of aging and sagging. Some of the sagging neck treatments are skin tightening creams, anti aging creams, facelift surgeries and neck exercises. From these treatments, sagging neck exercises have proved to give effective results and it lasts for a long time.

Sagging Neck Exercises:

With certain neck exercises, the loss of skin firmness cannot be gained back but you can reduce the aging effect. The neck muscles will be firmed and toned by these exercises and thereby it helps to reduce the sagging look. Basically, sagging neck exercises are facial exercises that smooth the neck muscles. Longer time may be required to see the results of sagging neck exercises but they are easy to perform and very effective.

Exercise 1: Stretch the neck.

A neck will be easy to stretch, flex and it will be flexible. You should do stretch exercises daily if you want your neck to keep looking good. To do this exercise, sit up straight and move your head towards one side of the neck. Do this for 30 seconds and also towards the other part of the neck. Do all this steps three times a day.

Exercise 2: Keeping the neck straight.

The neck will get fine lines and will sag ultimately if you usually keep the chin down, towards the chest, or you sit in peculiar positions for longer periods of time. Also, you can keep the chin high with the straight neck. This exercise will work well if you want a good looking neck.

Exercise 3: Strength training.

Strength training exercises will strengthen the neck muscles as well and thus they will also help you with your neck. Keeping the rest of your body in shape with exercising will also help the neck remain flexible and young.

Exercise 4: Keep it flexible.

Take a seat at the bed's edge. First, keep the head down and then move it back up. While you keep it up count to 10, and then repeat this three times.

Exercise 5: Treating the neck well.

Treat the neck well with the same treatments that you give to your face. If you apply a facemask, then also apply it on the neck as well. Rub both the face and the neck and clean them both up. Generally, treat both the face and the neck as equals if you want them both to look good.

Facial Exercises for Sagging Neck:

Chin Exercise for Neck:

This exercise helps to strengthen the muscles which are present underneath the chin. Stand facing the mirror and obtrude your chin as far as you can. When you stick out your chin, place pressure on the chin by squeezing it until it looks wrinkled and turn white. While doing this exercise, your neck should feel the pull. Embrace it for five seconds, and relax before you do it again. Do this exercise for ten times at a stretch and repeat it for three times a day.

Mouth Exercise for Neck:

The neck muscles will be tightened with this exercise. It is a simple exercise and you can do this exercise while sitting or watching television. Start this exercise by looking at the ceiling and your chin positioned towards the television. Then, close your lips tightly and start chewing movements like when you chew a gum. Repeat this exercise for at least 20 times at a stretch and three times per day. 

Lip Exercise for Neck:

Lip exercise can extend your neck muscles to feel the stretch in the neck area. Make a moping face by pulling your bottom lip upwards. While pouting your lips, place your fingers on your collarbone and pull the skin down gently. This should make you feel a visible stretch in your neck area and helps in tightening the muscles in the skin and the neck area. This makes your skin better.
