Samsung, the South Korean electronics company is rumored to be soon bring the next smart phone; Galaxy S III, as the latest member of the Galaxy family. The expectation of Samsung Galaxy S3 to be announced in the Mobile World Congress 2012 is finally cancelled. The Samsung Galaxy S3 is believed to be the same as S2 with little amendments to the physical constitution. Many rumors are being circulating about the features and specifications of the phone.

This phone will have the new flexible glass technology specifically; the FOLED technology. It facilitates a 4.6 inch screen with 720 x 1280 pixels resolution (~319 ppi pixel density) and 16M colors. The FOLED screen technology consumes less power and allows the screen to be curved, which is something innovative. It also supports multi-touch feature.

The phone will have a primary 12MP rear facing camera with 4000x3000 pixels resolution and a secondary 2MP front facing camera with a resolution of 1600x1200 pixels. It supports videos of 1080 pixels at the rate of 30 frames per second. It can play videos of many formats including Xvid, MP4, DivX, H.264, H.263 and WMV. The camera is loaded with features like Image/Video Editor, face and smile detection, touch focus, geo-tagging and image stabilization. This phone will also have a 1/2.3-inch sensor.

The device may have the Exynos 4212 processor with a 1.8 GHz with dual-core chipset. It will run on Google’s Android Ice 4.0 Cream Sandwich operating system. It features a huge database including games and applications. With 2 GB RAM, this device will have 16GB/32GB of internal memory. Hopefully, it may be released in the second quarter of this year. Price of the gadget is not known yet.
