Selena Gomez is an American actress and singer best known for his portrayal of Alex Russo on Disney Channel series Wizards of Waverly Place. She was born on 22 July, 1992 at New York. She enjoys cheer-leading, singing and acting for her passion. She has starred in the television movies Another Cinderella Story and Princess Protection Program.

Gomez made her theatrical film debut as Beatrice "Beezus" Quimby in Ramona and Beezus in 2010. At the age of 12, she started her career playing Gianna in Disney’s show Barney & Friends where she met her current best friend and co-star Demi Lovato. She also starred in three episodes of Disney’s Hannah Montana second season. On September 21, 2010 her band, Selena Gomez & the Scene, released their second studio album A Year Without Rain. She signed a record deal with Hollywood Records and donated to the Tinker Bell, Another Cinderella Story and Wizards of Waverly Place soundtracks.
