So, we can say New digg will have a personalization model. Digg is also planning to change the concept of account, allowing you to login to new Digg with Twitter, Google, Yahoo and OpenID.
How new digg will affect Publishers?
In old version of digg, a limited version of stories appear at the homepage of digg. So, publishers get one-time spike in traffic until the site is on homepage. With new Digg, many more stories will receive placement on homepages personalized by an infinite numbers of users, so publisher can expect more predictable traffic stream.
New digg will totally eliminate duplicate submission by introducing URL-based submissions. User will now be able to digg a story without leaving a site using new Digg Button.
