Smita Thackeray, a Hindi Film producer-politician is the wife of the Bal Thackeray's son Jaidev Thackeray. Smita got her graduate degree from Ruparel College in Mumbai. She has also worked as a passport office receptionist in same place. At that time, she was in love with Jaydev Thackeray and got married with him. On 27th October 2004, she got divorce but she continued to live in her in-laws' place and supported Bal Thackeray - her father-in-law.
